Three questions.
How much higher is it than normal background radiation?
Could a leak from a single place cause all those points to register higher readings with wind and the jet stream?
Are the countries around there where there are no detections just not adequately sampled?

They're a government organization with over 1800 employees. Bears further investigation. But yes, it may be in error. But I don't think it's just made up.
"It must be pointed out that only particulate iodine was reported. When detectable, gaseous iodine is usually dominant and can be estimated to be 3 to 5 times higher than the fraction of particulate iodine."

These are all false alarms.
The Bullshit Detectors around the globe are just acknowledging the massive amounts of lies and bullshit coming out of Trump.
The EPA and other government agencies are adjusting their regulations to accommodate the level of bullshit coming from Trump.
The US should be in compliance with bullshit levels after Trump is out of office.
