You could probably get by with a cheap casket from Costco in the back, I mean what cop is going to open it and check? Maybe they would start to wonder if they start seeing you 5 days a week. It's hard to be incognito driving a hearse.

That is some outside of the box thinking sir, the kind of thought process that gives me hope for this fine country. Hell yes you should use the HOV in this situation, have respect for the deceased!!

Do you really need to get there early?

This would be an interesting case. I know children count for HOV despite not being able to drive. The intent of HOV is to reduce vehicles on the road. So children shouldn't count. Neither should a corpse.

Down the I95 Toll Lanes, with a load of FCPD cycles blue lights on as escorts unmarked FCPD cars, and 3 FCFD Fire Trucks and about 50 cars following. All in the toll lanes.heading south bound in PW County

I'm Ok with a FXCO funeral with escort but out of the county ?? If one gets that treatment ALL should.Teachers,Lunch Ladys,Janitors, Public works, trash truck drivers, ALL and ALL means Taxpayers TOO!

Were any firefighters killed in line of duty lately? That would be a different case and I would be OK with that.

Does a hearse need commercial tags? Great question.

no it wouldn't. a body that has been legally declared dead is no longer considered a person. in court they'd be "the estate of...".

In some states hearses are allowed their own emergency lighting. Purple lights are used on hearses, and they can stop traffic for funeral processions instead of depending on police to pull over traffic.
