WASHINGTON (ABC7) — A woman who was in a wheelchair is dead and a man was injured after a shooting in Southeast Washington, police confirmed Monday morning. Police are searching for a man who was wearing a mask.
Police say the man who was shot multiple times has non-life threatening injuries. He is in his 20s, police say.
Neighbors tell ABC7 the woman who died, Vivian Marrow, 68, was very popular in the neighborhood and everyone knew her as "Miss Vivian." She rode around in her electronic wheelchair and often gave rides to people, they say.
Miss Vivian was on her way to a supermarket when she was shot.
Police say they are looking for a black man wearing a silver jacket, sunglasses and a black face mask. Police say the man is armed with a gun.
