The Ark Encounter In Northern Kentucky - is it worth going?
Posted by: going to Kentucky ()
Date: January 11, 2017 09:42PM

I'll be passing thru Kentucky, and wondered if any of you have toured this unique new attraction. To be honest, I'm somewhat surprised Meade hasn't done a video about it yet, although I gather it costs about $50 to get in, which might strain Meade's budget.

I on the other hand am always willing to fork over some bucks for a new experience - should I check out the ark?

Also, what kind of people go there? Will it be full of Trumptards, or full of lib hipstertards just going for the ironic chuckle? (I don't care either way, but always like to know in advance who I will be dealing with.)

It does sound like a place he would like.

But never mind Meade - wish I hadn't brought him up. I want to know from anyone who has been there - is it worth my time? Will I enjoy it?

Well it could be that he's busy writing a new song. Can't wait!
Or, perhaps he fulfilled a New Year's Resolution to get a freakin' job.

But it's true, many arrive at the Ark Encounter ignorant. And many leave enlightened and better Christians.

True the economy is doing awesome now that Trump is in office! I’m making so much money taxes are my least concern. You, on the other hand, should worry about losing your free refugee housing and food stamps or hopefully getting deported.

I would say go...and ask them to explain how some farmer, or whatever the f Noah was, managed to round up all 15,000 different ant species, a male and female of each, feed them, keep them alive, etc...

Same for all 10,000 different birds, reptiles, etc.

Two of each? C'mon.

I guess fish took care of themselves. How did he keep the snakes? Did they have aquariums back then?

Moan, and chant, maybe light some candles on your way out.

When I was a little fella...my parents told me all about the easter bunny, santa clause, and the ark.

I believed them, of course, because I wanted to...after all, who wouldn't like the idea of presents coming down the chimney, and, a little rabbit hiding candy all over the place for you to find?

Also believed in the ark, until, of course, I find a turtle a tried to keep it in the widow well of our basement.

A couple of days later, the thing was deader than a door nail.

I got to thinkin'...how the hell did a farmer catch, and keep, two of EVERY species on the planet, on some boat? And this was before I knew there were like, 5,000 species of roaches and untold, like, 15,000 different species of ants.

So, those silly little beliefs soon went by the way side...as did many, many others.

I just takes some people a little longer to stop believing fairy tales.

Yes, societal and family pressure is an influencer (I'd say probably the biggest one, actually...people LOVE to tell you how good a christian they are), but man, c'mon!

It didn't make sense to Noah, either; just because it was 5,000 years ago or whatever doesn't mean people were morons.

However, God performed a miracle. If you were to be inside the Ark, it would be like the TARDIS on Doctor Who. Once he started loading the animals, he discovered that God made it bigger on the inside than the outside. Extra space-time dimensions. And each animal had a high-tech ("miracle") enclosure that met all their needs: separation, environment, food, etc. What everyone outside saw was a large wooden boat. Something of a mystery as to how he kept loading and loading animals. That was all just for the show God was putting on. (In reality, there were zillions of other creatures that God preserved that Noah did not have time to load or unload on the boat.)

Simple.

It was the FSM - he put his pasta tendrils out and picked up two of EVERYTHING - actually thousands of everything, and ran them through his magical colander to get one breeding pair for each species (the leftovers were used to make sauce). He stored most of the animals in a magical bread box. The dinosaurs and unicorns he entrusted to Noah with his ark, who having packed inadequate food wound up eating them all before the waters receded.

You could also check out some of the other nearby attractions. The Original KFC Restaurant and Museum is about an hours drive away. The Ark is only 40 miles south of Cincinnati where there are lots of bars full of people who love to drink and fight. Not sure about the location of the Ark but keep in mind a lot of counties in Kentucky are "dry" and legal alcohol sales are outlawed
BYOB. We stayed overnight in Corbin once and I asked the motel clerk where I could buy a six pack of beer and he said "Tennessee" which is 60 miles south.

The Ark attraction was built and is operated by a fringe sect of idiots who believe the universe is no more than 10,000 years old. Hence they implicitly reject all science and are in the same category as the flat-Earth society idiots who believe the moon landings were faked.

Hence the Ark is purely for entertainment.

Be careful with your metaphors. The Earth has been around for over 4.5 billion years but there is a huge amount we do not know about its past, and much of what we think we know is based on weak or tenuous grounding.

The parking lot was funny. There was a family of trumptardz who had parked their shitty SUV near me, and they were fighting all the way to the place where the bus picks you up. Yelling and swearing at each other the whole time, kids complaining, and the mother admonishing the kids that 'Y'all need to git some fucking religion!'

When I left after visiting the ark, there was a bus from some private christian school, parked next to my car. As I approached, I heard a bunch of giggling. Some of the kids from the bus had hung back behind their group, and were hiding between my car and the bus, smoking pot. They freaked when they saw me coming, until I laughed and they realized I was totally cool with what they were up to. They just wanted to get properly stoked before their little sci-fi tour. I hope they enjoyed themselves - they seemed like nice enough kids.

The trumptardmobile meanwhile appeared to have leaked about a quart of oil. No wonder the father was so pissed - can't even afford car maintenance, and he's blowing 300 bucks taking the brood to some fake ark the kids don't even want to see.

There was a flood, it happened 10,000 years ago and was the result of a meteor impact above North America. It killed off the Willy Mammoths and many other species. It also caused a huge flood of ice and water and from water it ejected in the atmosphere alone it caused endless torrential rain fail. The coming flood packed with icebergs from closer to the north pole where it struck not only flattened the land, it also dug and established huge lakes, which is the origin of The Great Lakes.

It also left behind massive water falls which are all dry today. This is cutting edge archeological and geological findings and analysis based on overwhelming evidence. People like to avoid addressing catastrophic environmental occurrences in the recent past but there is ample evidence that this planet is subject to devastating impacts by asteroids and subject to coronal mass ejection by the sun which produces so much radiation on earth that anything that doesn't survive in caves or underground perishes.

Human civilization is effectively reset after these things occur. Practically all knowledge is lost once societies were destroyed and forced to exist in subterranean or cave conditions to survive.

So that's where the story is from in the Bible. Its a story of what was initially a meteor strike around the north pole that caused a global flood but primarily completely destroyed all life in North America.

The Ark Encounter spreads a very conservative message, and the local hicks really spend a shitload of tax money building this thing, only to see their investment sputter.

FFS, couldn't he hold a fucking rally there? It would be a huge success, for him AND that stupid ark.

he doesn't like people laughing at his earthbound ark.

For that matter, a lot of trumptardz get angry when we laugh at them.

C'mon trumptardz! Why aren't you attending this attraction? If this fails, trump fails!

Last time I was in Louisville the construction of that thing had just started. I haven't had to go back through Kentucky since, but I would take time to go through it. I'm actually curious how well they tell the story. I'd also like to see how they built the thing as I'm not some mindless libtard that needs to make fun of something it doesn't understand.

Well, they claim cavemen had pet dinosaurs. Nuff' said?

Spoiler alert: It's not a real ark! It won't float!

When I went there, an incredible number of trumptardz believed it was a real watercraft. They wondered if it was supposed to be launched into the nearby pond. They got very angry (just like you) when I explained that it wasn't an actual boat, but just a model.

Meade is the only one above the age of 12 that thinks the ark was real. Stop lying.

But they are opening up some sort of performing arts center where he could ostensibly get a gig. If anybody had heard of him. And if the place is still in business this summer, and hasn't been turned into an Amazon Distribution center.

March attendance for 2019was 10,000 more than the year before!

C'mon trumtpardz - keep this thing afloat! If it shuts down, libtardz will see it as a huge moral victory. Can you even imagine gerry gloating if the thing got shut down?!? So, load up the kids and take a trip to Kentucky!

We should sail the Ark against the giant mosque in Maryland!

Maybe leave it by the door as a Trojan horse... errr... ark.

If they did open a performing center. Would they hire Meade, or would they hire someone younger, who can sing just as well if not better, more on-stage experience, far better work ethic and wasn't so fat they looked deformed.

Just because Meade might be able to do a job, doesn't mean he will be hired over those much better qualified.

Meade is putting on muscle and looks great. He looks younger than most of the "American Idol" performers. He can out sing them too. Meade has lots of stage presence and a great way with children .

Their attendance was up 12000 from April last year!

Have any of you gone there? It is your duty.

The ark encounter is not doing as well as advertised by any means, but attendance has picked up in the last couple of months.

I think attendance at this attraction is a good gauge of trumptardation in this country. If it does well, it means trump is doing well and will win in 2020. If it flops, trump is a goner.

July 2020 figures are coming in soon, and will give us a better picture of trump's prospects for reelection

It is amazing to see in person. If you love animals and you love history, you should definitely see it at least once.

This is one enterprise that is doing just fine under trump.

All trumptardz MUST attend this fine attraction at least once. I'm going, and I'm not even a trumptard.

Place just recorded their highest monthly attendance ever! Some of you must have gone by now? How did you like it? I ask because I'm probably going next month.
