Wrong on all counts. Meade is not retarded. He has actually had his song "Sweet Tea" featured in blogs and he is considered a great underground musician. He is somewhat a controversial figure because of his stance on gays. He has also made some comments about "uppity negroes" at Krogers".
He has appeared in a feature film starring Lauren Holly and Luke Benward. Although he didn't have a speaking role he was a main focus of a pivotal scene towards the end of the film. He is well known and a Punk Rock band even did a song tribute to him called "Meade Skelton Birthday Party"
