On July 19, 1990, David Miscavige, the head of the Church of Scientology, was deposed.
Among many of the facts uncovered in this deposition is that Mr. Miscavige did not finish high school!
L. Ron Hubbard may have flunked out of college, but at least he graduated from high school.

David Miscavige still acts like a high school kid. As has been well documented, he is a little bully.
And, you have to ask yourself, if Scientology lies about Hubbard's background (nuclear physicist, war hero, etc.) what else do they lie about?

He also became the head of Scientology shortly after dropping out of high school. He was already in control before L Ron Hubbard died.

A deposition would have been a disaster for Miscavige. After all, there's only so much Atkinson Baker (deposition firm operated by Scientologists) can do. It is very likely Scientology worked something out with Rathbun.
L. Ron Hubbard, at least, was a colorful character. David Miscavige is an uneducated bully and Rathbun probably still believes in Xenu, the evil galactic warlord.
