Abandoned in Virginia: Can you tell where?

This picture is id’d as “abandoned in Virginia”. Are cars in a junk yard considered abandoned? Have you ever seen a junk yard in the woods before? Maybe the woods grew up around the cars?

Calling “Photo Detective” Photo Detective, are you there?

In the early 1970s that wouldn't have been an unusual sight in the vast track of woods south of Woodbridge extending almost to Manassas. At that time 'chop shops' were one of the leading industries in PWC. We once stumbled on a car deep in the woods with the hood up and the engine still warm. We later that morning reported it to the police who contacted the owner still in bed not knowing his car had been stolen the previous night.

Looks like the old car junkyard in Gainesville off Rt 29 near the Post Office and Lake Manassas.

The last image perhaps that former junkyard in Fairfax, at the corner of Shirley Gate and Lee Highway.

Don't know where it is b that 70s Charger in the OPs photo could bring some decent coin restored. Would be a fun project to do with the boy.
