Hillary Clinton on Thursday decried the spread of fake news online, calling it an “epidemic” that Congress should take action against.
. . .
Some Democrats have argued the spread of anti-Clinton fake news online contributed to her electoral loss to Donald Trump.

Clinton said: “Lives are at risk — lives of ordinary people just trying to go about their days, to do their jobs, contribute to their communities.”
“It’s a danger that must be addressed and addressed quickly,” she said

A lot of irony here.
The biggest fake news story of the year was that Trump had no path to 270 electoral votes. It was Hillary’s willing accomplices in the press who pushed that story.
The Wikileaks emails show that CNN was feeding Hillary debate questions in advance. CNN was asking Dems to suggest questions for Trump, Cruz, and other GOP. Politico was letting Hillary’s campaign edit at least one story. The NY Slimes was giving her campaign quote approval of an already-written story, thus farming out editing duties to Hillary’s campaign. Countless other examples show the press working hand-in-glove with Hillary.
Many of these media sources are people who live in a bubble, a bottomless pit of confirmatory bias with an endless echo chamber, resulting in groupthink. Many in the media have spouses or other close relatives who are government positions, a kind of incestuous situation.
Examples, ABC News reporter Claire Shipman married to Obama’s former spokesman Jay Carney. CBS News President is David Rhodes, the brother of White House official Ben Rhodes.
So Hillary and her people exist in the same echo chamber and thought everyone loved Hillary like her media sycophants do.
Hill and her gang were overconfident from the fake news that Trump had no chance.
Another irony. Hillary and her team fed the fake news of “hands up don’t shoot” from the self-defense shooting death of strong-arm robber Michael Brown by a cop in Ferguson, MO. That energized the Black Lives Matter movement with a false liberal meme and did lead to the murder of police officers in Dallas, Louisiana and elsewhere.
Hillary’s campaign invited Michael Brown’s mother and other mothers to appear at the Dem convention, all said to be victims of white cop racism against blacks. While real racism and real police misconduct occurs, it should be fought in the legal system. The whole false liberal meme ("white cops are often killing blacks for no reason whatsoever") has fed an escalating war on cops, which puts all of us law-abiding citizens at risk: white, black, hispanic, asian, native-American, whatever.
That whacko shooting up the floor of the DC pizza place was bad. Throw him in jail, but it’s not as serious as the murders of cops.
