lol ownd, but i do see vince a lot on the general forum registered voter seems to stick more to the off topic side.

(90% of off topic threads are political)

I used to be against apathy but I just don't care anymore

Registered Voter appears to be for real.

What he has going for him is that he isn't hyperbolic or vitriolic in his opinions.

It's okay to disagree with someone, it's not okay to descend into name calling and being nasty just because you don't like what someone has to say.

He hasn't done that.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
The function of conservatives is not to meet every liberal program or scheme with a denunciation or a destructive counterscheme, but rather to weigh its advantages and defects, supporting the first and challenging the second. A declaration of ideological warfare against liberalism is by its nature profoundly unconservative. It meets perceived radicalism with a counterradicalism of its own.

Yeah, I only post over in the main threads once in a while. I view them, but usually I have nothing to say in them. I get tired of the same stupid "Did you hear < - my favorite best friend of all time - insert name here - > died? Anyone know anything about it?" BS. And then the threads go on and on with folks busting on them for being stupid enough to post that kind of question here, etc.

The folks I nuke here are the ones that just post absolutely stupid comments. If you want to have a rational conversation that is fine. But if all you are going to do is make some asinine comment, or blast me for making mine, expect some blow back.

Professor Pangloss sometimes gets a bit too in-depth on a minor point of the discussion - and as much as I type, I am sorry but it would take me having something like a Dragon Speak auto-writer to want to have that much of an in-depth discussion here. May as well sit down face-to-face with a beer for that kind of discourse.

But generally if I disagree with someone, or want to make a point, I will do some basic research if warranted, and then make my point. As I have pointed out before, you can blame TheMeeper for my prolific cut and paste excerpts. What I don't do is paste an entire article without attribution. Sometimes I will post from multiple sources ... I have tried though recently to put my summary in front of my clipped stuff, especially if it is long. But no, contrary to some really stupid comments, I don't post under any other name but this one - period.

The fact that anyone thinks I am racist is something that I find both offensive and funny at the same time. Especially by some of the people that call me one. But then again, that seems to be the easiest out for these folks when they have nothing left to their arguments.
