actually, i have a ps3. do you honestly think i would buy a console by microsoft? it was an excellent investment. it has great controls (analog and wireless) (PC has the poorest gamepad support ever and no rumble support), build-in bluray player and plays every video codec used today (and they update codecs with firmware revisions). btw, do you even run your games 1900x1080 (1080p) or even 1280x720 (720p)... or have a 52" screen (another excellent investment) because i do? load times are very low... but i installed a fast SSD which makes load times for data off internal storage non-existent. a great feature that people dont think about is i dont have to use Windows (huge plus), hunt for patches online or worry about tweaking my system, buying never video cards and the only configuration i usually have to do is set my Y-axis to inverted and maybe adjust the brightness level (for dark games).
what makes developing for consoles so great is you can push the system to the limit, use low-level level hackery and not have to worry about your demographic having the right hardware or if it's fast enough because it's all standardized.
besides, a cell processor will blow any PC processor out of the water any day of the week.
