IDK, maybe this has something to do with it. Entitled millionaire raking in the dough to play a kids game a few times in the fall, take off winter and spring, get treated like a king when out on the town and can't see past his own self imposed grievances to suck it up and be a man. Protests aside, there's a laundry list of issues:
- Games too long
- Games on too many days
- Too many stupid fucking rules and penalties (every other play draws a fucking flag)
- Too many boring, shitty games
- The whole idea you are watching guys getting brain damaged
- Unlikeable players who are hard to cheer for
- League favoratism (God forbid anyone should tackle Tom Brady)
- Maybe like boxing and horse racing, it's had its day
- Games too long

The irony is the more the NFL tried to make football TV friendly, the less people want to watch it. Move from 3 time slots a week to 5. Add more time for commercial breaks. Institute rules that protect marquee players from getting hurt.
