Sobriety, pot was the worst for me, stopping helped so much. Don't drink either unless you're with other people. Diet and excersize help a lot too. After that, just get out there join a club, volunteer or join a church. If that doesn't work you will need to seek professional help, personal therapy and possibly medications.

Good luck

First try a beta blocker like atenolol. Then it doesnt work try Klonopin. You can also take l-theanine and GABA.. or Valerian root. Maybe passion flower and chamomile. If the benzos don't work and the natural remedies don't work, time to start doing heroin. You're anxiety will be completely gone if you sniff a few bumps. This would come with many obvious problems, legal and otherwise.

I liked the first response that you got.

Other suggestion is to get a dog or a cat, if you are willing and able to accept the responsibility. Also, that advice assumes that your housing situation allows for pets.

Dogs or cats are very good at reducing anxiety.

A dog is generally more work than a cat, but is more fun in my biased opinion. Also, as you walk a dog, you will often meet other people, possible prospective friends or dates.

If the pet will be alone for 8 or more hours a day, five or more days a week, a cat can probably tolerate that better than a dog can. If you're going to be away from home that much, maybe you could get a pair of dogs so they can entertain each other.

Read the books "Feeling Good" by David Burns and "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. The first book is about reshaping your thinking using techniques of cognitive therapy.

Seeing a therapist who practices cognitive therapy is definitely a good way to reduce your anxiety.

Try to keep a positive attitude.

I've dealt with this is the family. The alcohol is undoubtedly making your anxiety much, much worse. You absolutely must get sober before you seek treatment for the anxiety (look into CATS at Fairfax Hospital). The last thing you need is a prescription for benzos on top of the alcohol. Dangerous combination.

What worked for my family member was stopping drinking (massive struggle to convince him to get treatment, including ER visit), followed by an extreme exercise regime (hard workouts for several hours each day). Exercise may not be your solution, but you need something to divert your attention and dissipate your anxiety. The one thing I can tell you with absolute certainty is that there is no point treating the anxiety until you stop drinking. If you have a supportive family member, ask them to help you (especially if you are young and still live at home). If not, go to AA meetings. They've been there and will help you. Good luck.

If your anxiety is after drinking, switch to vodka and drink less. Get some pussy; even if it is a fat chick. Fat girls have such low self esteem that they will fuck anyone who doesn't smell bad. Go running once a day and cut carbs from your diet to regulate your insulin response. Stay out of debt.

Hell, tear down their fucking hillary signs too!

I feel like I'm destroying something, beautifying my surroundings, and shutting the idiot neighbors up, all at the same time!

Oh, and anybody wanting to whine about free speech or private property? Fuck you!

klonopin works but is hell to come off of

eating nutritious and doing cardio helps a lot

there is so much sugar in everything including most cereals that it's like having lots of dry brush around.. when a fire comes it is much worse.. your body has so much energy at the ready. if you just eat salmon and veggies life is easier..

if all else fails, psychiatrist + an SSRI

SSRI's aren't for everyone. I personally felt out of place trying a few, and I have seen some ex gfs get on them and become suicidal when they never had a history of it, hallucinate, and other crazy shit. Be careful if you take one of those meds.

the last thing you should do is see a psychiatrist, you may as well start smoking

the worst non-cure is pills, because they contain a poison "carrier" to get the object chemical into the blood stream. the inventor of the drug still swears it should only be used for live saving applications, such as post-op heart patients: because it kills organs. all psych drugs cause serious mental issues - many mass killings are blamed on them

Lots of getting pounded in the asshole helps my anxiety bro. All tension leaves your body, after the bunghole is loosened up.

Alcohol should help for a while...Too much alcohol is dangerous. It can cause damage to the brain, liver and other organs. There is no global consensus on recommended safe limits of the alcohol. At home I drink margaritas. Here's a cool article with good models http://jonsguide.org/best-top-margarita-machine-reviews/... Alcohol also increases the risk of death from injuries, car crashes, suicide and homicide. Be careful!!!

op here. thanks for the responses, at least the sincere ones. i haven't checked in in a while. will will certainly cut back, though i don't think i will entirely eliminate alcohol.. i don't see the alcohol making anxiety worse, but i'd be healthier with out. no amount of exercise in the past has helped at all, though i will take that up again too since at least it is good for my health. i've tried meds before, haven't helped. i'm willing to try cognitive behavioral therapy again. i've got a few books i'm going to read. i know i have to have realistic expectations, that the best case scenario is slightly improving. i just don't know if that's going to be enough to be able to interview for jobs, and to be able to do work type presentations.

Stop trying to support all of Hillary's lies.
