+1 Washing. The market is still correcting and we're just waiting on the laggin indicators to catch up. There's too much uncertainty right now and people like to feel secure. Once healthcare is settled and the Iraq situation is behind us, the ratings will rise.

Yeah, much as the poll is heartening in some respects, I don't really put much faith in polls as indicators. Especially not when they take them every week.

That's far less than the 78% in the poll taken before the 2006 elections.

Got a citation for that? Best I see looking back at polling data from 2006 is about 63% max. That crosses ABC, CNN, USA Today, Gallup, Fox, etc...

While most newly elected Presidents see a decline in poll #s as the honeymoon period fades away, Obama's has declined much faster and further than any recent President. Huge deficits, ballooning debt, Cap and Trade, taxes, healthcare, Beer-gate, escalating wars, and the 2 bloodiest months on record in Afghanistan with no end in sight... it's not hard to see why.

It took this country over two hundred thirty years to get to the national debt we have now. Obama and the demokratik kongress have promised to DOUBLE that in only nine (OMB's numbers, not mine). The country is realizing this is just not sustainable. The Republicans lost their fiscal responsibility and hence their power (as deserved), but at least they kept debt as a percentage of GDP something that the country can operate with. Obama and these demokrats are doing their best to ruin our economy and our country, I truly don't know what motivates them or who could possibly pay them enough to sell out and ruin the United States of America like they are.
