Houston police are reporting the shooter was a disgruntled lawyer and partner at McDaniel and Desai LLP, a firm specializing in family and criminal law. Desai had recently changed his Linkedin page to disclaim any affiliation with his former legal partner Kenneth P. McDaniel.

Desai drove a black Porsche which was found to contain several other weapons and was checked for explosives by the Houston Police Department.

Currently nine persons are reported injured in the shooting attack, one in critical condition. Several were treated and released at the scene.
