I rented the 2005 Chrysler Crossfire Limited Edition Convertible in Florida a few years back, and I loved that car. I offered to buy it, but someone else had already placed an offer on it (It only had 11k miles!). That ride was so smooth, the handling was awesome, and no matter how hard I swung that thing around a corner it never fishtailed like so many RWD cars seem to do (My F-body would pull wicked fishtails in rain). It was a tiptronic transmission, and after playing around with it for a week, I got the manual shift timing down perfectly. I was able to launch that thing quicker than a bat out of hell, and it was a ton of fun. The ride pretty much looked like this one here:
The one thing I really love about the Crossfire, is that it's one of the very few cars which in my view looks better in the chopped top version, as opposed to the hard-top. This is especially true with cloth tops, which many versions I don't like the look of when they're up, but on the Crossfire it looks great.
I can't tell you the number of compliments I got while driving that car as well, from both ladies and guys. I guess they figured I was also extremely lucky to be driving one of those as a 20 year old, and yeah, I felt like a richie rich while cruising around in it (It is re-badged Mercedes after all).
