At 24, i agree, have at it, most girls your buddys age want an older guy with earning power anyways, and chicks in thier early 20's in this area are a pain in the ass. I encountered this attitude when I first moved here at the age of 23. There
were plenty of women at work with the same mindset and needless to say,
at the entry level, I was nowhere near their income requirement. Most of
the ladies were clerical staff and made less than I did. It wasnt hard to feel
invisible. Over the years, my salary climbed but I remembered those days. There
were also marriages between Ms. Goldigger and Mr. Big Bucks but what I noticed
was a high divorce rate among this group and Mr. Big Bucks got taken to the cleaners. They learned. When I finally made my way to mid-level management,
I noticed women coming on to me more frequently, but I ignored them unless they
were in the same salary bracket that I was. If Ms. Goldigger wants financial
security, then let her get off her lazy ass and climb the ladder too.
IMHO, women with this attitude are no more than hookers seeking an opportunity.

If you want to observe these kinds of women in action and in large numbers,
try hanging out on a Friday night in the bars on Capitol Hill. It's amazing.

back in middle school the mother of my friend was 15 years older then his father. I couldn't help to think that not a day went by that his father didn't want kick himself in the balls for marrying a woman 15 years his senior. All i know is, I could never do it.

When I first moved here, I was in senior management at a firm. I had all kinds of women at the place htting on me (I was and am married and didn't reciprocate). It was the first and only time I had that kind of reaction from women. Definitely a predatory class of women living in DC.

Women in DC usually fall into two types. You have the money grubbers that hit on the BMW driving accountants, or the easy types that hang out at dive bars hitting on Tapout fans.

I agree. I dont think 40s or even 50s is old anymore. I know people have surgery, but the way people are these days- more people are looking younger and staying in shape. Age is not as fixed as it used to be. I have actually seen 20 somethings hanging out with 30 somethings! By the same token, another group of people is letting themselves go to hell in a handbasket.

Hey now, Elle Diabla looks great for her age! She just revealed to us she is 64, but did you see the pics she posted of herself? She doesn't look a day over 25!

It always amuses me to hear people say things like 40 isn't old anymore. The boomer generation has made a habit of it since their twenties. Just because they've reached an age they claim isn't old. Well, duh, you never want to consider yourself old, but saying it and it being true are two different things.

I know twenty year olds that are OLD and sixty year olds that are very YOUNG. It just depends on the person.

People are entirely too hung up on these numbers.
