While I may be conservative/libertarian, I am probably farther from being the right-wing "nutjob" that you evidently think I am - then you are. I am not blinded or brainwashed by any ideology but you certainly appear to be.

You really don't appear capable of judging what is factual.

I will answer the question even though it was not posed to me. I end up being on or near a computer all the time as part of my work and I am good at multi-tasking. I work with people every day, and I am well liked at my job. Also, I don't tend to insult everyone when I make comments in their threads here. Sure, I am long winded - folks don't want to read what I post, they go elsewhere.

I blame Meeper for my cut and paste mentality. After being challenged on not supporting statements of fact versus opinions, I began pulling in references to support what I was posting. I also try to verify what I pull in as best I can from multiple sources. If I post more on things political or closer to it, I won't apologize for it - I think there are issues happening there that are important to discuss. But I don't work in or near politics.

You posted a comment requesting a little empathy be shown toward a women who is accused of drunk driving causing death to other people. I do not criticise you for that...everyone needs a little empathy. I don't remember any Republican debunking the issues with the 1233 provision in the new bill. Nor do I remember any Republican advocating setting up a program to pay for training of new doctors with obligated service, and the issuance of their private practice license tied to completing their obligated time.

I don't personally believe in abortion, but I also know you cannot legislate to make abortion illegal as the main objections to it come from religious teachings. I don't think the government should pay for abortions though because it could be used as a form of population control if you provide incentives (could be used that way) to have abortions. Even Ginsberg (Supreme Court) pointed out that she believed Roe V Wade was initially decided as a way to manage certain populations. (paraphrasing - it was covered in a different thread).
