I wouldn't say that he caused the United States Football League to fail, but is it possible he hastened its demise?
Isn't it true that many believe he pushed for the league to play in the fall, where many believed the only advantage it may have had was playing in the spring, where it did not have to compete against the NFL and college football?
Was it his belief that by doing so, he could then sue the NFL for anti-trust, or something like that?
Well, didn't they win? Something like one dollar, treble damages to $3.
Don't many believe that it was a reckless, over-aggressive move, that essentially led to the demise of the USFL?
Who knows if the USFL would have survived long term...but it would seem that by making this move, it was an all or nothing move, and didn't work out.
As with the end of many businesses, weren't not only the owners affected, but think of all the players, coaches, support staff, vendors (advertising, food, equipment) etc that were affected?
Hate to see an over aggressive move against, say, North Korea.
That fellow over there has nothing to lose, and might do ANYTHING to save face. All it takes is the push of one button to destroy a US city.
May not win a war against the US, but boy, he sure could make life bad for a great many for a great long time.
So, if you put that into some type of percentage (as in, Trump only made 1.2% of bad decisions) that ignores the great magnitude of the poor decision, doesn't it?

Hes not debating with hillary cuz hes not a politician, he hasnt learned politicians way of lying yet. He a rich man, but just average man smart enough to see whats really wrong with america and is not afraid to keep his mouth shut about the issues that america really needs to adress. Do you realize how easy it is to form an LLC? Literally anyone can go out and form a legal business entity, you don't even need an actual business, it's just a paperwork excercise. I've seen a big list of all his businesses, most people couldn't even tell you what they are or what they do. Trump Marks Istanbul LLC? Trump Marks Istanbul Inc? Trump Managing Member LLC? Trump Payroll LLC?
He owns a lot of stuff and has been successful with his TV show and golf clubs, but you can't just count the number of corporations he's formed as a measure of success. Most people focus on his casino blunders and thousand dollar packages of frozen steaks because they were public failures. They don't focus on the other 500 shell companies or inactive brand name set-asides because they don't really do anything notable.
