Billionaire Republican Donor - Electing Trump Will Cause Great Economic Depression
Posted by: D'OHnald ()

A Wall Street billionaire thinks a Donald Trump presidency could spell doom for the global economy.

Paul Singer, who runs the hedge fund Elliott Management and has been a big GOP/Republican donor in the past, told a crowd at the Aspen Ideas Festival that he wasn’t impressed with Trump’s stupid economic policy positions, according to CNBC.

“The most impactful of the economic policies that I recall him coming out for are these anti-trade policies. And I think if he actually stuck to those policies and gets elected president, it’s close to a guarantee of a global depression, widespread global depression,” he said.

Just the thought of Donald Trump being a serious contender for political office makes me depressed. I am sure it causes a lot of Americans fits of depression too.

Trump induced depression is a real thing.

If he was supporting Trump, you would be whining about how he was a Republitard racist, homophobe and only wanted to fuck over the little people like you.

So what else is new? Dog bites man?

Trump has the common sense to put knowledgable and expert people into government positions whose focus will be on doing the job that needs to be done in the areas he is not conversant with. This modus operandi is standard operational procedure in all SUCCESSFUL endeavors, whether in business or government. No CEO knows everything there is to know in detail--that's why he has a COO, CIO, etc. in chargte of the specific areas needed that can work together for the good of the whole.

That should be a whole lot better than having the current pile of socio-communistico-thought-police turds we have now whose only goal is to legislate and manipulate into the ground the entire social lives, birth to death, of each U.S. private citizen, legislating away each one's personal God-granted freedom to just be themselves. This is nothing more coming from our leaders than an all-consuming lust for authoritarian power over everyone.
The reason this has gone on for so long now unabated and unchallenged is that those old enough to be able to remember a time (when people were raised with dignity and were taught to stand on their own two feet and take some responsibility for their own life path) have nearly all passed on to other realms, leaving in their stead new generations of babies who never had to see the truth about what results the enabling and acceptance of corruption, self serving actions and power-mongering in high places does to a country in the end. Maybe if the schools were allowed to teach world history the way it actually happened, enough kids with some intelligence would grow actually grow up knowing the difference and being able to recognize it happening in the high echelons their own country.

The great recession has been going on for the last 9 years and continues. With the rest of the world f---d up it will be sure to continue into the next 9, no matter who gets elected. We are in uncharted territory and no one knows what to do because the bean counters only know what their textbooks tell them to do for things that have already happened in the far distant past. Bean-counters have nop creativity, insight and entrepreneural spirit left to try new things because they are puppets controlled by the needs and desires of other f--d up countries now.

Coming from the leaders who destroyed the economy so bad that we will print money and artificially hold down interest rates until the dollar collapses. There's going to be a depression no matter what. And it's all the fault of people who have been in leadership positions since 1992.

I wouldn't underwrite a loan to Donald Trump. It wouldn't get past the first Risk Assessment Process. He is over-leveraged with debt and his cashflow sucks ass. He has had multiple bankruptcies where his creditors got screwed. His claimed net worth is about 50% of what the books say he is actually worth. He files law suits all the time against anyone who does business with him.

Regardless, I sure as fuck wouldn't vote for him. The math doesn't work and his business history is a disgusting trail of mayhem and failure.

At least his foreign policy didn't hand Libya and ½ of Syria over to a radical Islamic cult like Clinton's did. At least he didn't have a private email server in his home that he used to send and receive top secret information and mix it with emails about his money laundering charity like Clinton did. At least he wasn't managing a gun running operation out of an unstable area of a county in chaos that got a US ambassador kilt like Clinton did.

Tell us actuary, how do you feel about the $9,500,000,000,000 that the Obama/Clinton regime has run up over the past 7 years? Does that math work for you?
