And I have to wait twice as long to see a doctor.

I wonder who is saving money.

The OP neglected to mention that this is a projected "savings" based on a study by the Urban Institute. Which might as well read the DNC.

Also, it's not "savings." It's lower spending vs what was projected in the original estimates. The projected lower spending levels primarily are from:

- Mainly a 2% cut to Medicare implemented during the "sequester."

- Fewer states than expected expanding Medicaid.

- Assumptions projecting a continued sluggish economy.

- Lower spending by individuals with a much higher percentage of high deductible plans who can't afford to use them.

- A number of highly prescribed medicines coming off patent permitting generic substitutions.

No, as noted other than unaffordable costs forcing people to purchase high-deductible plans with additional high out-of-pocket costs that they can't afford to use, Obamacare has little to nothing to do with the projected lower spending levels (not "savings"). The authors of the study don't claim that it has.

Forbes ripped the nogish Urban Institute a new one and shredded their findings. No savings. Less coverage. Higher premiums. Higher deductibles. Majority of those younger than 30 are covered under their parents plan (to 26) or paying the penalty or simply not paying anything.

Urban Institute? LOL. They get $6 out every $10 from the federal government to do studies on issues related to the poor, civil rights, economic conditions of the inner cities and societal inequities. This 'study' has already been shot down less than 48 hours after it was published.

My healthcare costs went down about 40% and I can't dropped any more.

Before Obamacare my work insurance dropped me and I had to pay triple to get on another plan. They were then upping my rates every other week without any notice. Unitedhealth Group sucks ass!
