In fact there is and always have been native populations of alligators living in Virginia. It's entirely due to political reasons the state does not want to recognize them.

While canoeing in the Northwest river you can see gator slides along the bank of the river, and I had a definite sighting of a 4-foot alligator there in May 2013. They are frequently seen around the back bay area by locals.

Few things to unpack here:

1. Lakes with houses crammed on them with LAWNS. Fucking inbread idiots want a lush weed-free lawn right up to the shore. Increases maintenance, looks unnatural and most importantly all the chemicals you need to keep the lawn drain straight into the lake. You poor dumb animals. Ruining the very body of water you are paying to be on.

2. That lake looks more like a shitty, muddy, smelly causeway. Must be nice waking up looking directly into the windows of a dozen houses across the open sewer.

3. Looks like they allow driveways and houses to be built practically on the shoreline - very beautiful.

4. Mich Ultra - dunce

5. Crappy tat on otherwise healthy looking skin - dunce.

I say this coming from 2 weeks on a lake in Maine where they allow no buildings, development or tree removal within 100 feet of the shoreline. Out on the lake you can barely seen any homes and the shoreline, save for small seasonal docks and a few boats.
