BBQ Iguana WTF?

I recently heard that this is pretty popular in Mexico. Supposedly it tastes like chicken, but I can't imagine eating a giant lizard...

Anyone here ever tried iguana?

They also eat boiled cactus. When you are poor, you tend to eat what's available.

Never had iguana, but nopales are the shit. Supposedly pretty healthy too, if you're into that sort of thing. Y'all should try them con huevos.

I would imagine Iguana tastes like unagi or sea eel at your favorite sushi joint. It's pretty damn tasty.

Now you're speaking my language! I like unagi better than sea eel, but those are some of my favorites. I like ika too. I bet iguana would be pretty good on some sushi rice.

Capibara (giant guinea pig) is big in Brasil. It's actually pretty good.
