What the hell happened to National Harbor
Posted by: Overnight guest ()
Date: May 29, 2016 08:01AM

Took a little time away with the wife.
Strolling along the national harbor a certain segment of the ovulation decided to cruise the street to show off the money.

Lambos, slingshots, and Harley's racing engines and bumping ghetto music.
What a shit hole the harbor has become.

Walk down the isles of the Gaylord and wine glasses are left in places you would never see the Ritz.

There was a prom there as well, and let's just say you see all kinds.
It was "Pour Chrstal on the phone" time.

We passed Ben Carson with his secret service on the way in. I could tell there was no way he was staying in this dump, and next time, I won't either.

A certain segment of the population has ruined what was once a nice place.

Once the get the casino, I'm sure things will improve. Not.

As we ventured to the central mall, we were watching the navy band performing a concert. We were two of a dozen people who were trying to listen to the music, but the immagrant a were too busy playing soccer of the green. We noticed squatters who took over the cushioned seats for most of the evening. They had brought Costco boxes of their own foods to enjoy for the day.

Their kids sometimes taking another kids toy or ball. If the 3 kids were playing on the beach, others who thought they could sit and enjoy the sunset were soon told to get up as those were "thier chairs". Where else can a family living 15 to an apartment watch Monsters Inc. for free on. Jumbotron.

They have certainly learned how to milk the system.

The liberals continue to defend the "uppity ghetto" lifestyle that goes on there. They are pretty much the only visitors now, although the limosine liberals defend it from afar. Clearly many of the locals have stolen and defrauded their way into the funds they are spending at National Harbor, but no amount of pilfered cash can ever by them class, as you've seen first hand.

Now you're going to be complaining that I'm the perpetrator. This goes for the rest as well.

+1. NH will become absorbed by it's parent sprawling urban ghetto and the Rt 214 and 210 crime avenues. Wait until the casino opens, NH/OH will become a world class war zone.

The idiot companies that invested in NH got what they deserved: no Metro access and demands from PG County that their residents get first crack at all the jobs.

The result? Look at the decline of the Gaylord National. It's "elite" status is long gone, the restaurants suck, the place is filthy and try to get any assistance from the Marriott "customer service" staff if you ain't from PG County.

Went to one business conference at the Gaylord, I wouldn't spend $0.01 of my own money there. After the conference was over, VA and DC residents couldn't get out of there fast enough. No one was interested in hanging our for drinks afterwards, it's just too creepy after dark.

Mgm will be at a loss on the casino floor. I'm guessing they will turn a profit at the massive convention center and hotel they are building. THe casino floor will be filled with ghetto niggers roaming the floor not spending any money or bitching about 20 dollar table limits. The only way to combat the shit skins will be high table limits, it's what keeps the locals away from Hollywood casino. I would like to see some data that states the harbor is fiscally in bad shape.

The areas around the casinos in Atlantic City and Las Vegas are a hell of a lot worse than the neighborhoods near National Harbor. Not even comparable actually. National Harbor is pretty isolated too. Not like AC or LV where a block in the wrong direction ends you up in scary litter-strewn lots and rundown hourly motels that look like murderer's row. MGM will be fine down there.

Like I said, it's not comparable. Anacostia and Ft Washington are a few miles away from NH, not right outside it. Not like AC, where you can walk 2 blocks from Trumps Taj Mahal and it looks like the neighborhood where they filmed The Wire.

Not a surprising comment coming from the 11-7 shift cash register jockey at 7-11.

The moment I saw where the national Harbor was being located, I knew right then it would eventually become just another PG County nigger infested hell hole. It's just happened even quicker than I ever imagined. You wont see any white skin there by this time next year.

After dinner that day, we went to the Gaylords "club" Pose.

After[party for black power networking was running over the nine o'clock time limit...shocker.

We finally went in to see the view. Only room keys will get you in, so we expected no riff raff.

We were one of three couples in the place. It's on the 18th floor and the views were great. Cushioned sectionals on the balcony.

The music was wayyyy over based and blaring form the party. Someone finally turned it down when the realized no one was at the bar or on the dance floor.

Perfect weather for time with my girl.

Only bright spot at the Gaylord.

Just seeing the subject line I knew the answer had to be "niggers".

When they first started talking about building this mistake one look at a map told the whole story, all you needed to know.

MGM Resorts Buys Borgata Stake From Boyd Gaming for $900 Million

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-05-31/mgm-resorts-buys-borgata-stake-from-boyd-gaming-for-900-million

MGM Resorts International, the largest casino operator on the Las Vegas Strip, agreed to buy Boyd Gaming Corp.’s 50 percent stake in Atlantic City’s Borgata hotel and casino for $900 million.

As part of the deal, MGM Resorts will sell the entire property for $1.18 billion to MGM Growth Properties LLC, a real estate investment trust it created earlier this year, and operate the Borgata under a lease-back accord, the companies said Tuesday in a statement.

The agreement consolidates ownership and operational control of the most successful casino in the New Jersey gambling market. Boyd expects to receive $600 million in net proceeds after deducting its share of the property’s debt. Borgata estimates it’s also entitled to tax refunds from the city totaling $180 million.

The deal represents a big bet by MGM on the future of Atlantic City, which has seen its annual casino revenue fall by half since 2005 to $2.41 billion last year, according to Bloomberg Intelligence. New casinos in New York, Pennsylvania and Maryland have eaten into New Jersey’s business. Governor Chris Christie last week signed a financial stabilization plan designed to avert a bankruptcy filing by the city.

MGM Resorts Chief Executive Officer Jim Murren said the deal would complement the company’s growing East Coast footprint, which includes a casino opening later this year in National Harbor, Maryland, just outside Washington, and another scheduled for 2018 in Springfield, Massachusetts. MGM can use its database of 60 million customers to promote the Borgata and achieve costsavings by making the property part of a larger enterprise, according to Murren.

“We viewed Borgata as what it is, a high-quality, high-performing property that’s bucked the trend in a very rough market,” Murren said.

A joint venture between Boyd and MGM, the Borgata brought a more upscale resort experience to Atlantic City when it opened in 2003. Modeled after higher-end properties in Las Vegas, it features a spa, restaurants and entertainment. It’s located in the marina district, away from the boardwalk where four of the city’s 12 casinos have closed since 2014.

While Borgata has taken market share as rivals closed, the casino still faces the threat that the state will legalize gambling in Northern New Jersey and create still more competition, Wells Fargo Securities analyst Cameron McKnight said in a research note after the deal was announced.

MGM Resorts, under pressure from activist investor Land & Buildings Investment Management LLC, created MGM Growth Properties as way to boost its stock price. Real estate investment trusts generally trade at higher valuations than regular corporations because they don’t pay income taxes, distributing profits instead directly to shareholders. MGM Growth raised over $1 billion in an April public stock offering.

The Borgata generated earnings of $212 million before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, and revenue of $812 million for the year ended in March, MGM Resorts said Tuesday. MGM Growth will receive rent of $100 million a year under the lease.

Boyd has also been taking steps to revamp its portfolio, acquiring three casinos in its Las Vegas hometown for $610 million since April.
