Only thing I've heard for the past few months was: "eesh is going down", "eesh is going to see some heavy time", "Miz is going to own eesh's ass", "eesh don't stand a chance", "that's the end of eesh!!!!! Well you bunch of rejects from the funny farm what happened!!!! eesh won and he won big!!! Next time just keep your lame and off the wall predictions to yourselves. You don't know jack shit and squat about the rules of law! Congrats to eesh on a fine defense.

Lizzie is a "jailhouse Lawyer", every Con who gets time thinks himself an expert on law, they know only very limited terms however: terms like "guilty" "no bail" "concurrent sentence" "indigent" "consecutive sentence" "I hereby sentence you to", "undergo". Jailhouse Lawyers are the worse source of information.

I don't know what any of that means. All I know is he spent 28 days in jail and spent $3500 on bail and that's good enough for me, LOL. Not going to jail is how you win.

He was only found not guilty because you technically can't prove he posted anything, he was still arrested, still went to jail for a month, still has a record still had to pay bail and the one in Fairfax is much easy to prove thanks to there being pictures, videos, recordings and witness testimony from people who witnessed what happened in the parking lot.

Sort of like how when you went to jail for that bomb threat? you remember that right, you spent weeks in jail and everyone laughed at you.

You all lose, and don't you forget that for a second.

I still spent less time in jail for something I was guilty of than him lmao yeah buddy and what? And I got off on multiple charges that I was guilty of for the same reason he did, except for the fact that I didn't get denied bond, didn't sit for 28 days, and didn't have to pay for a lawyer or bail so what's your point LOL you're talking about shit from 2015. Try to keep up, this is 2016. I don't have any pending charges.

kcknI lost nothing. I'm still living my life, have a job, a loving boyfriend, don't have any legal troubles hanging over my head, no lawsuits, no thousands of dollars wasted on a website, no mugshots, etc etc etc

Michael Basl has many more court dates coming, I have 0.

Have a good day, my boyfriend and I are going out to lunch now

What a difference between your life and eesh or Miz's life (or Meade for that matter) good for you! In fact what a difference between your life and 98% of the posters here lolololo

Yeah. It is pretty funny considering the many convictions I have vs eesh's and he still spent more time in jail than I did LOL. But you see, that's why its karma. He did the time for all the other crimes he got away with.

yes, so having been in jail multiple times makes you a loser, we get that

there is no logic in saying someone else is more of a loser, still both losers

that's like saying I get $700 of welfare a month and the other person gets $900 a month, so I win

I've followed this story, I guess because it's like a train wreck - you can't not look at it. From what I've read, I'm guessing that the Loudoun cases were based on computer forensics. If that's so, it's a tough case for the commmonwealth, because they have to prove that Basl actually did the posting, and not (1)someone else using his computer, (2) a hacker; (3) who know what the fuck else as a possibility. The commonwealth has to exclude every reasonable possibility of the defendant's innocence, and that can be hard to do in that kind of case.

The Fairfax case however seems to be based on eyewitness testimony and photographic evidence. That's harder to deal with, especially if one of the witnesses was in the car with Basl, which if I follow all this shit right, seems to be the claim.

Just my thoughts...

Seems pretty simple to challenge eyewitness testimony based on the obvious collusion and harassment of Basl here and past history with the courts. Moreno has also posted threats here to potential witnesses, stating he held their lives in his hands (paraphrased). Definitely not a slam dunk, but who knows?

Eesh won big? What did he win? Only his freedom.
The Moreno's really won with this. Maybe not the win they wanted, but eesh suffered major consequences

Freedom is the #1. Better a free bird than a bird in a gilded cage. Remember that and you will be a better person

The thing you don't seem to understand is that these comments are not meant to be insightful analyses of the law or accurate predictions of how it will be applied.

They are the jeering japes of jackanapes loudly and obnoxiously celebrating the misfortunes of others.

lizzie, unlike Moreno or eesh, actually appears to be able to hold down a job. She also has friends in real life. Her life, at the moment at least, is not being turned upside down by this site.

On the downside, she is borderline PD if there ever was one and she will inevitably turn on everybody around her at some point. She just has to reach the point where she devalues them and she will turn into a rabid attack dog.

In fact, I would be surprised if she doesn't turn on Moreno by the time the civil suit comes around.

But you shouldn't have to win your freedom. The fact that the da prosecuted this shows that rational people can be swayed to the moreno's perception of this whole drawn out saga. Hopefully eesh realizes that he put himself in this position and gets help for what ails him
The civil suit, with its lower burden of proof, should be interesting

I don't think either of those are true statements.

Yeah, you can challenge testimony based on past history, bias, etc., but you have to convince the judge not just that the witness is biased but that they're completely making up their story. That's hard to do. Witnesses usually don't make up things out of whole cloth, and their testimony usually can be corroborated in many ways.

I dunno. I think it'd be easy to cast doubt on testimony simply based on Wells and Moreno posting his mugshots and flooding the forum with celebratory posts when he was in jail. Throw in the mental health history and past criminal records, sprinkle in some motive and POOF goes the case.

Remember the prosecutor has to prove the guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, the defendant does not need to prove his/her innocence.
