Hypocrisy

Politicians across the board, Republican or Democrat, are scummy, but it is the Republican party that claims to be "fighting for traditional family values".

Which is why this list is so staggering: http://www.dkosopedia.com/wiki/Examples_of_Republican_hypocrisy_on_moral_values

I personally don't give a crap if some politican hired hookers after going to the bar one night (that's their business)- but when that same politican tries to claim himself as a moral Christian with values...

Of course, the site is skewed, for example, the story regarding George Bush, citing the National Enquirer... yeah, seriously...

but the large majority of the cases mentioned in the list are regarding solid, despicable, evident, and utterly shameful acts.

Ted Kennedy Wants Windmills Killed

Self-proclaimed alternative energy proponent Sen. Ted Kennedy has strongly opposed an environmentally friendly "wind farm” off the coast of Massachusetts – and now it appears Kennedy will have his way.

A proposal before Congress would limit the construction of wind turbines and most likely doom plans for the Cape Wind Project, the nation’s first offshore wind farm.

"This is a dire moment for us,” declared Mark Rodgers, a Cape Wind Associates spokesman, who said the proposal "would be totally fatal” for the project.

Wind Farm Off Cape Cod Clears Hurdle

...
BOSTON — A federal agency said Friday that the nation’s first offshore wind farm, proposed for the waters off Cape Cod, posed no serious environmental threat, bringing it a major step closer to fruition.

Homeowners and boaters on the cape, including Senator Edward M. Kennedy, Democrat of Massachusetts, have fought the project for eight years, saying it would hurt wildlife, fishing and tourism and spoil the beauty of Nantucket Sound.

Opponents have sued to stop the project, known as Cape Wind, and more challenges are certain, keeping the path to construction bumpy despite what supporters on Friday called a crucial victory.

At about 1 minute in - Obama discusses pushing legislation that no one reads from an interview in 2004 ...

Near the end Chuck Todd makes mention of the focus on one issue. Gives me ammo to the race issue with Gates as well - the distraction with Gates took the focus off health care so it was likely to take opposition voices out of play. The problem was a lot of Democrats had already heard from constituents that said "enough!" on spending between health care and cap and trade.

Who the hells wants a bloody windmill cluttering a great view? Get out of here with that garbage. I wonder how the Greeny crowd will feel when entire Migrating Bird Populations end up fodder for Turbine blades.

interesting how if it's a democrat that shows negatively against your political views, it's "just one democrat" but if it was a republican, it's EVERY republican.

stop the hypocrisy.
