Cary will release your IP

Just FYI, Cary was quoted in an article saying that he will release IP addresses behind individual comments to the police.

I wouldn't be surprised if the recently released from jail FFXU stalker has gotten himself into more problems related to this

IP addresses are not like fingerprints. They can be changed virtually at will.

I doubt the average fire fighter knows how.

You're an idiot. Sure, an ip can be changed. Most ISP's use dynamic addressing, so you don't always have the same address associated with your home router. But to think that an ip couldn't be traced back to you at a later date is asinine.
Sure you can go through proxy. Go through enough proxies and it can be difficult to trace back to the true source. Difficult, but certainly not impossible.

But just keep typing /release and /renew behind your Comcast router. They'll never find you

Dial-up services assign dynamic IP's. Cable networks assign static IP's. This is why home firewalls became important. But all that the public IP address identifies is the node at the end of a network where a connection to the internet is made. It is like a hotel room number. It is associated with an ISP, not with a particular user at all.

Cary can give my IP to law enforcement all day long, because is didn't say a damn thing for or against that woman.

The troubling this is, if you even ask questions of all these seeking blood without any information, or call for waiting for an actual investigation before making assumptions, you get lumped in with the supposed bullies.

If that information gets out in some sort of wide casting dump, and an over zealous lawyer starts trying to lump everyone in with the original posters, then yes... I'll be owning a lot of people's inheritances before it's all said and done,

At the absolute most he would only "release" those ips of the people behind the posts in that one particular thread, if you weren't posting about her or in that thead I'd imagine you have nothing whatsoever to worry about.

Like I said, if you (and I did) ask all those out for blood in that thread for proof that any firefighter was actually involved, I've been labeled as one of the original posters.

And again, Cary can give my IP to any law enforcement or govt investigation, because that's all I did. Call for people to shut the fuck up and not blame the FD until there was an actual investigation.

I don't believe Cary will just do a general IP dump, but if he does, I really look forward to any lawyer or anyone else who tries to "shame" me for asking questions.

I failed to see anything posted in that thread that was bad enough to make anyone commit suicide.

FFXU is not above the law - if he get's a lawful request, he will need to provide IP addresses. Just like the Canadian cease-and-desist order on the AM data.

For anyone bothering to read the article, the OP's summary is not quite accurate. Cary said he would release the records if ordered to do so by a court. He said he "can" furnish IP info to law enforcement because he retains those records.

"Fairfax Underground moderator Cary Wiedemann said that anonymous posters can be identified and information can be supplied to law enforcement officers.

“I have and will continue to retain all IP addresses of Fairfax Underground posters indefinitely in case any court wishes to unmask the perpetrators of this abuse,” Wiedemann said in an email to The Huffington Post on Monday."

You don't understand how it works. The public-facing IP address (you still have to pay extra for static IP addresses, even with cable) is the hotel's street address, not room numbers.

Clown-speak. Your cable IP address is static unless you take steps to hide or change it. But it is STILL not associated with an individual user or PC. You cannot "block" people or PCs. You can only block whatever people and PC's happen to be accessing the internet through through a certain node.

Clown-speak. I didn't have to call up my ISP and ask them what IP, netmask, gateway, and nameservers to set on my router, I was dynamically assigned all of that using DHCP. Pretty sure this is how all ISPs are. It has a 24 hour lease time. That means after 24 hours, my router will contact the DHCP server. The DHCP server will then most likely give it the same IP, because there's no reason to change the IP every time the lease expires. That still doesn't make it a static IP, as it's being dynamically assigned.

Doesn't matter. The ISP's keep logs for at least 1 year to comply with federal law. They know who is connecting to their network. Sure, you can leech off a neighbor's unsecured wireless, but those are now becoming rare. Generally available proxies also keep logs. Most TOR routers also keep logs for at least 30 days, some longer. If you hide behind a VPN that doesn't keep logs, you are pretty much anonymous AFTER THE FACT. Of course, if you're being actively monitored during the fact, you are not anonymous of course.

Harder and harder to stay anon these days and you'll most likely have pay for that privilege as any good vpn provider charges.

FFXU is not only above the law IT IS THE LAW. And we wield it with unquestionable authority. Can't believe Cary caved to some soft leftist Canadian turncoats.

I only ever reveal IP addresses with a valid court order pursuant to Code of Virginia section 19.2-70.3: http://law.lis.virginia.gov/vacode/19.2-70.3/

A police officer can only apply for this type of order pursuant to an active criminal investigation.

I routinely reject requests for IP addreses without a binding court order. Similarly I always try to quash unfounded requests, especially those brought by civil discovery.

Over the 10+ years Fairfax Underground has been in existence I've only been forced to reveal IP addresses on a handful of occasions. I suspect that I will receive no such order in this case as there doesn't appear to be any reason for a criminal investigation.

Fairfax Underground must comply with all state and federal laws in order to remain viable, and to maintain Section 230 immunity: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Section_230_of_the_Communications_Decency_Act

So to sum up, while all it actually identifies is the node on an ISP's network through which you attach to the internet, unless you take some action to change or hide your IP address, it will remain the same indefinitely. That's called being "static", as opposed for instance to the "dynamic" assignment that dial-up systems carry out in attaching a new address to each new connection as it is made, one that goes away as soon as you hang up.

Are you serious? There is no shortage of unsecured and public wireless access points. They are literally everywhere.

Misery is able to get around his ban with proxies, it's not tough to stay anon.

Cary just answered the question in the thread. There is no criminal case here. The case against John Doe is a civil on won't co-operate in that case. Especially since misery was banned for being a pedophile.

Misery, you care to weigh in on what cary said? This does not bode well for your search for John Doe or vexxxed. Very bad.

Your ISP is going to be subpoenaed, Vexxxed, because you played a shell game reegarding your identity and you fit the profile of TheNorthman and have a connection to Monique (kissing her ass after she found out who you are).

Deal with it.

You need to make this happen in order to have any respect on this site.

Most people find it impossible to have any respect for someone who has posted the disgusting vile filth that he has posted on here over the years.

You're right, if you want to change fast IP address at home computer, there are good ways that might work for you. I bought here JONSGUIDE Modem Router with features up to 400Mbps on the fast band 2.4GHz .
1) Simply unplug or turn off your modem for about six minutes.
2) If you have in home or office a laptop, you can switch to a another IP address.

I'm sure Cary has seen his fair share of stupid and inflammatory statements and remarks posted on here. At least he doesn't pull a Jeff Steele and ban you! I've been banned from even getting on that other site for years!

GermanSnow,
I'm just curious, not looking for trouble or anything. Just trying to learn.
The post you replied to is from April 2016. I'm curious why you replied to such an old post and how did you find that thread and post? Were you searching for something and it came up, if so what was the search? Were you just reading all the old posts? Again, just curious.

Fairfax Underground moderator Cary Wiedemann said that anonymous posters can be identified and information can be supplied to law enforcement officers.

“I have and will continue to retain all IP addresses of Fairfax Underground posters indefinitely in case any court wishes to unmask the perpetrators of this abuse,” Wiedemann said in an email to The Huffington Post on Monday.

According to the website’s rules, which are posted on its welcome page, any spam, unrelated posts, personal attacks and impersonations are subject to removal.

He will release your IP to Joe Biden. Cary is great friends with BHO and his wife Michelle.

Just sit back, relax. Cary isn't going to help you with your obsessive vendetta against eesh.

No one is hurting you. If the website is causing you distress, just leave.

Still the Cary story. OK.
There is a mainstream news story here.
Set up on the timeline already.
Lines up. Warned the cast.
Waiting on a call.
The extras around better start to take notes.
Clean your noses up.

I BELIEVE SHE WAS MURDERED BY A NIGGER FROM D.C. WHO WAS FAST TRACKED INTO FAIRFAX FIRE DEPT. FROM DC - either dc fire dept or some fast track program

That would explain the car and body found in a park outside of fairfax - which is typicall of a murder.

AND WHO steps in her place? Another nigger.

at the same time the previous highly democrat fire chief stepped down for a black DC implant to lead fairfax's fire dept

Everyone knows how killed her, including the police. It's always the husband and that would explain the fire set as a distraction to keep searchers away from her body. It's just a matter of time and he will eventually confess.
