Fairfax Underground
Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
I think that Neandertals were doomed to fail because, IIRC, their ability to communicate - or rather their inability to do so - made them inferior to us. Even though they had bigger brain cases and were physically superior to us.

On the subject of communication, I've seen programs about this and many anthropologists believe that humans were able to work in groups more effectively when hunting while Neanderthals were not, so humans out-competed the Neanderthals for resources. As for kicking Neanderthals' ass, I think that probably happened, too, in some regard, but I can't believe that there was enough population density on either side to result in genocide.

I seem to recall that that theory was recently put to rest. The Neanderthals were a different species which, by definition, means you can't inter-breed (same with your human/chimpanzee theory...too many genetic differences to naturally breed, though I imagine gene splicing might be a possibility).
Yeah - I like the gecko - so far he still makes me laugh when I see the commercials. The caveman commercials are like watching another run of cry babies commercials - maybe if they actually clubbed a woman from Geico and dragged her into a cave or something it would make them more interesting.... j/k

Yeah, the money stack is probably even more annoying than the neanderthals IMHO.

your point is irrelevant because humans/neandertals did not exist before jesus.
