I haven't gotten any threats on this message board, but I got a couple when I moderated a vampire message board.

Or better yet just post it. People who write secret threatening notes should know they may be read in front of the whole class.

Yup - I found the board because of a thread on Evolution (if I recall correctly). I was one of two skeptics on the site. The other skeptic was a mod and realized that my assistance was needed.

It was board that was fairly devoted to angsty emo-esk people who liked vampires.

A few of them claimed to be 'real' vampires, a few claimed to be 'psi' vampires, and very few claimed to be 'classical vampires'.

Here's a run down:

1. Real Vampire - someone who likes to drink blood. They will claim a whole slew of things, such as that it gives them energy, they need it, and even in one case, that they had an organ that specially processed the massive amount of blood that they required. Blood is enemic, which means if you drink a lot of it, you will throw up.
2. Psi Vampire - someone who claims to drain people's energy by being around them or focusing their efforts or...something...They also claim to need this energy and are even vaguer on their claims.
3. Classical Vampires - these are the dracula, 1000 year old, immortal, invincible vampires. There were a few people who would claim to be this and I was quick to give the verbal beat down to them.

Generally I was skeptical of all three and made my skepticism known. I was only brutal with the third type though, although I did end up mocking the guy who claimed he had an extra organ to process blood. I refuted his claims repeatedly and put him on the spot - he didn't like that and the thread went up in flames.

There was some of that, yes, but it also had...unbelievably...people claiming to be vampires.

It's odd, you go there and participate in a few thread and it's utterly fascinating. This world these people live in is so alien and bizarre - then it becomes mudane and dealing with some of the people becomes tedious.

The person who threatened me claimed to be from the "VSA", if I recall correctly, which was some sort of 'secret' vampire club or something. I banned him and he came back on sending me pm's of 'don't mess with us' and all that sort of tripe. He was probably a 13 year old kid who desperately wished for Dracula to come and take him away from this mortal coil.
