Interesting, but the book "Fast Food Nation" was supposed to be an eye-opener, and the lines at Mcdonalds and Taco Bell are as long as ever. People don't care enough to change how or what they eat.

The people in those lines don't read books like "Fast Food Nation."

We will never see a dent in the lines at McDonalds or any fast food restaurant, for the simple fact most Americans that eat at those places cant afford to purchase natural or organic foods.

While cheap food is one excuse, there are plenty of affluent people with heart disease and cancers related to obesity. The problem is Americans, as a whole, simply refuse to eat properly.
I have neighbors who have their kids in all kinds of sports and activities because it is "good for them." Yet these same parents feed their kids shit from fast food restaurants for almost every meal. And most of these parents are obese or pretty damn close to it themselves. So the kids, when they are in their teens or in college and stop going to soccer practice everyday, are going to balloon up like their parents because they don't know how to eat properly.

I'll completely disagree. The line I was referring to is at the McDonalds off Wiehle in Reston. The line usually consists of Auuuudis, Saaaabs and Mer(saaay)dez.
I thought this was about American food. You can not base your judgment on the lines at fast food restaurants located in one of the most affluent counties in the nation. Of course the fatties around here can afford to eat better than they do. Unfortunately the reason for going to fast food around here is just pure laziness. We try and push the severity of eating unhealthy but no one listens, convenience may be the downfall of American society.

I ate at Chili's a while back (which I normally don't because I hate that fucking place). For the sides they had one vegetable. One fucking vegetable! Everything else was a starch...usually fried.
That's the problem. Chili's could offer three or four vegetables but the customers won't order them. Rich or poor, American's want to eat deep fried shit because it tastes good.
It's fast and cheap. Better choices would be nice. I'm happy to see the fruit offered in kids meals. A small cheeseburger isn't all that bad so getting a happy meal with apples (and not with the shit sauce that negates the healthy choice of apples) and milk is not killing people -- it's the double quarter pounders and extra large fries with the massive sugar laden sodas.

Being vague is almost as fun as that other thing.
I love people who order a salad to "eat healthy," then they get the bacon and avocado and 1,200 calories worth of blue cheese dressing. But, by God, it's a salad! Make sure to have a diet Coke with it as well.

i guess its better than a basket of donuts and a 64 oz cola
You're all nuts. Nothing beats a chili half-smoke with mustard, onions and
a 24oz. can of Schlitz Malt Liquor for breakfast. Oh thank heaven for 7-11.
Now thats healthy!

Because I eat salad? Maybe I don't want to be 250 lbs.
