Fairfax Underground
Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
The same people that are pushing this were against Big Brother and surveillance activities during Bush.
Big Brother is usually synonymous with an attack on personal freedom. Meanwhile, the fast food this country consumes leads to a large percentage of it's health issues. If government-provided health care actually becomes a reality, I wonder when they'll connect the dots on that. The chart is missing "Bureau of Intake". Smoking can already be included here.
Everyone should have affordable health care, just like everyone should be a homeowner.
Is there a country with single-payer healthcare that institutes the restrictions conservatives are bellyaching about? I haven't heard of the UK, Canada, Germany, France, etc., putting dietary restrictions. For every single-payer horror story, I can unearth an HMO or insurance horror story, and we only bother to cover 80% of our people (well 100% if they're having a heart attack right there.)

And in every other case study we've got, such restrictions were NOT put in place.

Paranoid much? At no point did I say you were a Republican.

Odd that someone who's 'never seen myself as a conservative' would use a right-wing stock phrase.
