You'll like it. Also no blacks or even token blacks.
Will Smith will be mad.

Bear attack was awesome. Token Injun instead of black. More like Jeremiah Johnson than First Blood.

I disagree, the Indians were not token and they were all played with dignity and spirit and very well done. I thought it represented native Americans very well. Not like that bullshit Sandler movie if it came out. No blacks is always good. Hollywood needs to always insert a smart black good with computers in every movie or in this case a smart black with the abacus. But they didn't give in to that PC bullshit.

Not "Indians" (multiple), which played a pivotal part of the plot. 'Injun' (singular). As in the one who saves him in the middle of the moovee. He played the token role usually reserved for the black dude.

Let's set aside the American Indian element for a moment and focus on the subject:
homage to RAMBO... or rip offs, if you will.

1. When Glas cauterizes his wound to stop the bleeding à la Rambo III

2. When Glas goes off a high cliff, into a tree, hits the ground, and survives-- very similar to Rambo's cliff jump in First Blood.

3. When his multiple wounds are stitched (though Glas doesn't do it himself)

4. Though more subtle, when the group is hiking away from the boat and they make reference to "being hunted" it's much like the group of police officers in First Blood who were hiking through similar terrain and Mitch said, "Hunting him? He's huntin' us."

Any others?

It would be a great move to anyone who has a brain that operates at a third grade level.
