REDSKINS: Are they for real?
Date: December 27, 2015 06:50PM

I am very impressed with Kirk Cousins and the improvements that the offensive line has made. Cousins has shown an ability to be a classic west coast passer, the line has allowed him time. With stellar performances from Jordan Reed, Garcon and the occasional breakaway from Jackson, this offense looks excellent at times.

There are still major negatives in the lack of a strong RB. The defense is greatly improved but there are still holes in the secondary that will be exploited by decent offenses.

Another fact is that the Skins have not beaten a single team with a winning record.

One and done in the playoffs or can we carry this momentum?

Before you go off buying SuperBowl tickets, keep in mind the Redskins are the best of the worst in the NFC East which aint saying much. That disvison is awful this year and may be awful for a couple more years. Meanwhile, the Redskins may be ahead of the pack at this point.

They still need a running game and a pass defense. My God Sam Bradford shredded the Pass D Saturday for 380 yards and he aint shit. If the Eagles knew how to catch a pass, the Redskins could have easily lost that game. There were 2 sure TD passes dropped and probably another 8-10 drops with the receiver getting hit right in the hands!

Cousins appears to be developing into a legit QB. I don't think he'll ever be Peyton Manning or Tom Brady but he looks like he could be second tier material.

Of course, one thing on the agenda is unloading RG3 on someone and hopefully getting more than a pair of used gym socks for him. If he didn't have the $16mil contract around his neck for 2016, it would have been interesting to see if they would play him against the Cowgirls next weekend. But they can't risk that. He's too fragile and they would be stuck paying him $16 mil if he gets hurt.

I worry once they start playing good year to year, The Danny will get back involved and start doing crazy shit because he thinks he knows football.

Cousin's has no long ball. He just throws it as far as he can and waits for D. Jackson to find it. No accuracy at all.

If they have to play Seattle or Green Bay, they are toast. They might beat the Vikings but that game probably wont happen. I fear it will be Seattle and the Pass D will never be able to stop Russell Wilson.

The yards that Sam Bradford passed for was unacceptable. He is truly a mediocre QB and has nothing but average receivers.

I would sit the entire first squad against the Cowbitches and even allow a win. Though finishing above 500 would be a minor pride booster, there is nothing to be gained from a win and too much risk injuring starters.

As far as the NFC East being weak, you are right but none of this matters if we can continue to win.

Danny will get MORE involved, and the Redskins will be back in the same "World of Shit.......again for the 7th or 8th time.

How many coaches, QBs, RBs,......It will never end until Danny sells the team.

Alfred Morris is 21st not in the NFL but in the NFC. Less than 700 yards total for the season.

Im actually shocked he has 700. He aint the guy he was, not sure how the Skins fucked him up. He makes one cut and falls over now.

If the Skins still had Stephen Davis or Clinton Portis (in their prime) I think their run game would be light years better.

Even Tim Hightower.

Which we know isn't going to happen. The tiny cryptohomo treekilling Jew would never. Is Yigal Amir available for work release?

The last 2 times the Giants won the superbowl, they entered the playoffs with an average record as a wild card team.

It proves yet again that mediocre teams can and sometimes DO improve during the season and can go the distance.
