The unemployment claims stats might be technically correct: unfortunately you are apparently ignoring the unfortunate historic numbers of individuals that are not employed and no longer receiving benefits,
In addition: the multitudes of those that are indeed employed that are experiencing stagnant wages.

Those who gave up looking are not counted. Part timers are counted as full time even when they only get a couple days a week work and want 40 hour work weeks.
