Rush Says Republican Party has Betrayed America

“There is no Republican Party,” Limbaugh said on the Thursday edition of his radio program.
He continued, stating that the GOP had “sold America down the river.”
“You know, we don’t even need a Republican Party if they’re going to do this. [We might as well] just elect Democrats, disband the Republican Party, and let the Democrats run it. Because that’s what’s happening right now.”
In spite of the fact that the Republican Party holds “the largest number of seats in the House they’ve had in Congress since the Civil War,” he does not see that they have “made any difference at all.”
“It is as though Nancy Pelosi [House Minority Leader] is still running the House and Harry Reid is still running the Senate,” Rush added. “‘Betrayed’ is not even the word here. What has happened here is worse than betrayal. Betrayal is pretty bad — but it’s worse than that.”
He continued, stating that the GOP had “sold America down the river.”

Maybe the blowhard will have the further epiphany that people and ideas cannot be bludgeoned into submission or eviscerated. It's called a democracy. Is that not of any interest to him or his ilk anymore?

Rush is losing his fan base to Trump. He isn't going to be able to recover them by pointing out that when you move from being the minority party in Congress to the majority party, you have to stop trying to obstruct the President and instead have to work with him.

I can see how Trump wants to capitalize on the Tea Party base. Since the GOP has told Sarah Palin to hide in the closet the Tea Party needs a new voice.
