Donald Trump's Policy to Temporarily Exclude Muslim Immigration Makes Total Sense

At customs, extra scrutiny is given to shipments from countries like Colombia where narcotics trafficking is widespread. Extra scrutiny is also given to the import of produce from countries of origin where there are pests that can ruin entire crops.
This makes total sense. America slowed the flow of Haitians into America during the 80's over concern of the AIDS epidemic. This would be a similar precaution.
NO. Donald Trump has not called for a permanent exclusion, but just a temporary one until a better screening and vetting process can be created.
NO. No one is saying "all Muslims are bad", we are just accepting the logical conclusion that allowing a group that has even a .1% risk factor is too high.
NO. This is not unconstitutional, immigration is a privilege and not a right. We pick who comes to the party.
YES. It will be fun to listen to Hillary and the elite faction of repubs respond with the typical reruns of PC sound bites.

I agree that we need to temporarily put a halt to any immigration until we can get proper screening procedures in place. If we cannot vet someone because we cannot find any information on them, we should turn them away.

That's a silly statement. It's true, but it's a non-sequitur. The constitution prevents laws that establish religion from being made. There's nothing in the scope of that saying it must only protect Americans. It's simply limiting the power of government. Not establishing who benefits from those limitations.

That's a silly statement. It's true, but it's a non-sequitur. The constitution prevents laws that establish religion from being made. There's nothing in the scope of that saying it must only protect Americans. It's simply limiting the power of government. Not establishing who benefits from those limitations.
