what do you think about institutionalizing Megan Toohey?

This is a serious question folks.
She is Jobless, abandoned one of her children, and is a threat to the well being of the other.
She lives of the dole, so we are already supporting her as a society.
Yet she is constantly wasting more of the tax payer's money by being free to waste police and court-time with her self created drama.
She owes more than she will ever earn in legal fines.
She has assaulted far too many people, and killed at least one.
At what point can we as a society institutionalize her, either for craziness or lack of thinking laws pertain to her?
I mean, I am glad there is no Debor's prison in the US, but at what time are we able to let her go to a pace where she is not endangering the public and causing mass PTSD with her nudity and reckless behavior?

It's cheaper to leave her on the street. Institutionalizing her will cost more than dealing with her legal nonsense.

Temporary detention orders are easy to come by. She just needs to be declared a threat to herself or others.

I am thinking she needs a LEAST a year. Temporary is quite easy as you say. But you can talk your way out of a most if not all the time on those.
That is long enough that Josh will get a clue, and that she might start to get a grip on reality if sober, has no one she is fucking, and away from technology.
Maybe you should sue her for emotional distress and ask that she spent a year in jail as punitive damages.

She likes the mental hospitals better, she can twist reality with the doctors and cause them to believe that she's just a victim of circumstances outside of her control, and they will feel sorry for her. She is used to being catered to in the nut house. It's a refuge for her when life on the outside gets to be too much for her to handle. She can get cock and pussy in the nut house just as easily as in jail.

I was looking at a really weird photo collection from the late photographer Mary Ellen Mark.
She lived in the womens' mental hospital in Oregon in the 70's for a month to document the wackos.
