Another NRA Hero Scores One for the Team
Posted by: The Smoking Gun ()

A woman is dead and a man is behind bars charged with murder after an argument over smoking turned deadly at a Waffle House in Biloxi. It happened around 1am Friday morning at the restaurant on Hwy 90, near the Coast Coliseum.

According to Biloxi police, the fight started when Johnny Mount, 45, refused to put out a cigarette he was smoking inside the restaurant. Mount then pulled out a handgun he had concealed under his shirt and shot the female employee once in the head.

Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove said the 52-year-old woman was taken to Merit Health Biloxi where she later died from her injuries.

Mount was arrested as he was leaving the restaurant, and charged with 1st degree murder. He's now being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center on a $2 million bond.

I guess the only way to stop a bad waitress with an opinion on smoking, is by an even worse guy with a gun and no respect for human life.

We now live in a country where even asking somebody not to smoke is a risk to life and limb.

>Secondhand smoke is not as deadly as second amendment smoke.

Actually...

Exposure to secondhand smoke causes an estimated 41,000 deaths each year among adults in the United States:1

Secondhand smoke causes 7,333 annual deaths from lung cancer.1
Secondhand smoke causes 33,951 annual deaths from heart disease.1

http://www.cdc.gov/tobacco/data_statistics/fact_sheets/health_effects/tobacco_related_mortality/index.htm#shs

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in 2013, firearms (excluding BB and pellet guns) were used in 84,258 nonfatal injuries (26.65 per 100,000 U.S. citizens) [2] and 11,208 deaths by homicide (3.5 per 100,000),[3] 21,175 by suicide with a firearm,[4] 505 deaths due to accidental discharge of a firearm,[4] and 281 deaths due to firearms-use with "undetermined intent"[5] for a total of 33,169 deaths related to firearms

So, it seems like guns are safer than secondhand smoke. Go figure. Stupid science.

Do you want to place odds on that? Got any money that you want to bet?

Anybody else want in on this bet?

Who cares? He had a gun on him so that means he is a guntard. As we all know gun owners are complete zeros.

Actually you are wrong, second hand smoke is far deadlier to bystandars than firearms.

According to the Centers for Disease Control -

Second hand smoke has contributed to 2.5 million deaths since 1969

In the same time frame there have only been 515,560 homicides by firearms

Both numbers brought to you by the CDC

You are trying to be sarcastic, obviously, but you are wrong yet again.. in a way.

You aren't using logic correctly, you wrongly assume that since someone is opposed to gun control then therefore they don't believe in climate change. One has nothing to do with the other.

For example:

I believe the gun control measures being proposed by the president are not effective and an over reach.

But, I do believe in climate change as well.

I believe in the death penalty.

I believe abortion should be legal.

Marijuana should be legal.

I believe corporations should be allowed to donate to political campaigns, but it must be reported and up to a certain limit.

I believe cops in this country are becoming somewhat too militarized, yet I believe black lives matter is bullshit and 99% of police shootings are justified.

Those are just some...

Dichotomizing is bad. The world isn't black and white kid.
