I don't work, I was victorious in a worker's comp case, and we settled. I abhor work and was not even that bad....bad back bit if you get my meaning. I have a lot to be thankful for on Thanksgiving. ;)

Obama’s mad about all what? people not working and loving it?

Things aren't as simply as you might think OP. We give our employees today off, but we still come in. Officially it is so that the employees can have an extra day with the family. The real reasons are that we know more than half of them would not come anyway and those that did would spend time bitching about having to work, it lets us do things like employee evaluations, end of the year planning and bonus calculations without worrying that we might be overheard, and finally because it gives us a reason to get out of the house.

I have a nearly 24 hour shift on Monday, going to Philly..this should be interesting..although, I'm sure I'm getting paid to sleep on the way there/when possible.

I have so many days off as a county employee that it is overwhelming. 8 weeks a year is really hard to use up.
