Advice?
Posted by: spunky ()

After the monsoon we've had I now have some sort of critter inside the dashboard of my car. I hear it scatching to get out. I have no idea how to get it out or how it got in there.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

How can you afford a car when you said you haven't been employed for years?

Time to call animal control. Of course you could just leave it and when it starts to smell you'll know it either took a dump or its dead...

Damnit Furfur! Why do you...er... I mean... Why do I keep exposing the truth behind my aliases? All that work for nothing! I obviously can't trust myself.

You haven't proved a thing, as usual. But great at wasting time.

With all the rain we've have over the past few weeks, it's probably a snake. As long as it is not poisonous your safe.

Nope not a snake, didn't you hear me when I said it was scatching? This critter has arms and legs with nails. Snakes don't make noises, you would never know it was in the car until it showed it's head. Gee, MARG! Where's your head tonight?

Did you start TGIF early this week? Go girl!

Actually I've heard a snake...it was in my kayak while I was going over rapids and I heard something other than water/rocks against the plastic of my boat. Look down and there was a little black rat snake slithering between my legs. Fucking scared the shit out of me even though I know it's not poisonous. Had to ride the remainder of those rapids before I could dump it out.

Lemmiwinks. LOL. I remember a friend of mine from England came to the US for three weeks and had never heard about Southpark. He said that he wanted to hear what all the hubbub was about. His first exposure to Southpark was the Lemmiwinks episode. I think his view on life was dramatically altered...

How to prevent Rodent Damage to your car:

1) Limit Food Supply: Remove all food and garbage in and around your car.
2) Create a path to guide the rodent out of the vehicle. Peanut Butter (irresistible to squirrels) is the most often used bait. The bait MUST be placed directly on the vehicle surfaces (Reach up under the dash and wipe peanut butter directly on the wiring harness).
3) Rodent-Proof Structures: Keep windows up and doors closed to prevent rodents from getting access to your vehicle.

*NOTE- Poisons are NOT recommended because the animal can die inside your car (STINKY).

Thanks Marg you're a peach. But if I wipe PnutButter on the wiring harness won't this critter eat the wires too? Who's to say it won't fill up and then take a nap and never leave because I',m feeding the critter?

I heard coons like marshmallows, so I think I'll try that first, since they're possibly cousins and less mess. I'll keep you posted and I appreciate the thought. Thanks again peaches.
