I guess then it is not too bad, typical gun owner logic.

We need more guns. The only way to stop people using guns is to give more people guns! We will not be safe until everyone is carrying! Then the madness will stop.

That's a good point. During America's Hey day, the wild West days, many folks carried side arms, the Colt 45 or the Colt 44/40 for example, there were a few shoot outs, manly between gangs and were not as bad as the movies pretend. The handgun was the true "equalizer", a man 5'2" could face a bully 6'5" with equality, as long as he was good and practiced. Even women carried small caliber "pepperboxes" or even larger caliber Derringers. We need to bring back that "culture", I'm serious! I think things will simmer down.

I know. Afghanistan and Somalia manage to keep order WITHOUT law enforcement because everyone is armed. We are doing it wrong.

In Pakistan they have a "gun ally" in the Market place where you can get anything from a pen gun that fires a .22 to a AK47. They make it right there, the gunsmiths in a gun foundry. Some will blow up in your face but some are as comparable and efficient as a factory made firearm. You ain't a man unless you own a firearm is their POV.

Steven Jones was the shooter. My guess is that he's white. Why? Because the media reported his name almost immediately. If the shooter had been a nigger, spic, or towel head, the media would have kept it quiet for a week.

He couldn't handle getting punched in the face. What a wimp. Why don't some of these gun nuts take self-defense lessons? Women do it.

I not only CCW but also have a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Women do that too.
Get used to it.

Wow, you have been watching too many oater movies.

What you wrote is simply not true. When you entered the large cities of the day, Kansas City, Wichita, Tombstone, Dodge City, you were required by law to turn over your firearms to the Sherriff. By law, you were not allowed to carry guns in the streets or inside any local shops within the town.

As everyone knows, before the shoot out, Doc and the Earps went to the Sherriff's office to get arms to confront the "cowboys." They were going to arrest the cowboys for their "lawless" activities, including carrying guns within the city limits, which was at that time illegal. If you visit Tombstone today, the guides and narrators make that point very clear.

In 1884, the editor of the Black Hills Daily Times (of The Dakota Territory) defended these town laws by calling the idea of carrying firearms into the city or town a “dangerous practice,” not only to others, but to the packer himself.

Were you aware, in 1882, a Texas cattle raising association banned six-shooters from the working cowboy's belt for the safety of all "cowboys on the ranch?

Fun fact
When the good citizens of Dodge formed their municipal government, the first law enacted for the city was a ban on carrying guns on your person inside the city limits.

Sometimes people will get themselves in over their heads if they think they have superior firepower, whether it's guns, size, or fight training. Saw that video of Russian amateur boxer whipping up on men making passes at his gf. One of them could've just as easily whipped out a gun or knife.
