Yes, actually it is a crime to create a hoax-type device. As well as various other crimes as far as creating a public disturbance which could be cited.

Nobody ever thought that he had a bomb. He was never really arrested (juvenile detentions of this sort are not actual arrests). They questioned him with regard to his intent relative to a hoax device. Which under the circumstances they certainly had reason to. He was not charged.

It wasn't a "hobby project." The just took apart an old clock radio and stuck it in a case. He admitted that he knew that it looked sketchy.

The school is 85% minority dumbfuck. I don't think that there's a school within our 'enlightened' FCPS that's as diverse. Most of the administration and teaching staff are minority, most likely including the English teacher who turned him in. Several of the cops involved are minorities. The Dallas-Ft Worth-Irving area itself is as or more diverse than the DC Metro area. But yeah they singled out the little brown kid. lol

And they knew his intent without questioning him how exactly?

He admitted in his own video that he knew that it looked sketchy. He admitted that he was told by the first teacher that it looked sketchy and not to show it around. He then proceeded to intentionally plug it in drawing attention and causing a disturbance.

He was not "arrested." Juvenile detentions of the sort are not actual arrests. He was detained and questioned about why he brought it to school which his actions gave them reason to do. He was not charged after they determined there was not intent. As they likely would have with anyone else who did the same thing or less as has happened in numerous other cases.

The media never gets played, do they?
