I feel for the guy, but what a nut job

I feel terrible for family of the reporter that got killed down in Roanoke, but her father is whacko. He is a full-on left wing cheerleader. He may even be worse than politicians taking advantage of his own daughter's murder to espouse his not job views.

Yeah, the self-proclaimed "John Walsh for Gun Control"? What a douchebag.

Typical liberal. Doesn't care about something until it effects him directly?

I don't like people who get shot. Ya know who I like? People that didn't get shot.

Yeah he's turning out like a lot of these grieving relatives who figure it's a good time to get on a soapbox because they have the media attention and nobody is going to tell a grieving father whose daughter was murdered to shut up. And CNN just sucks it up like a sponge.

I'm a little surprised and curious why we haven't heard anything from the cameraman's family?

I'm not going to be too hard on him. he said he needs a gun now and at the same time is calling for Virginia Lawmakers to I guess end private purchase and some sort of mental check for gun buyers. Just not for him? Said doesn't own a gun, so if this mental check thing was in play he would get denied. Dude needs a BONG HIT and should chill out before going back on TV so he won't come of like such a hypocrite.

He and Mcauliffe want to campaign on extending background checks to private sales at gun shows. That's fine, but it has nothing to do with any of the high-profile gun crimes over the last decade... it's odd they would pick that to be the thing that reacts to the reporters shooting. It's like saying you're going after the Honda airbag makers after the Toyota Prius brakes had issues.

90% of gun shows are dealers selling, those sales require background checks like any store would. The guys wandering the aisles with their WW2 surplus rifles are the private sales, but no one is going do a mass shooting with an M1 carbine.

Yeah he's a real hypocrite. One second he wants stricter tighter gun control and laws to keep guns from being sold to people who are possibly wacko (just how do you do that anyway?) and the next time I see him he's talking about buying a gun. I'm not sure he would pass his own test. He seems a little cukoo to me.

I also like how he has said many times he refuses to watch the news about his daughter's murder, but he is way too happy to get on camera with the same news people.

Then again, he may just be out of his mind with grief. Where's mom anyway?

Yeah, he should be pursuing nigger control. That gun didn't fire itself.

There's no doubt in my mind that Michael Bloomberg and others will be
paying all kinds of money to the people involved to spread propaganda.

None of the recent "mass shootings" were done with illegal guns or privately sold guns. All were done after being legally bought, well, except for Newtown, but he stole his mom's guns which were legally bought.

I think handguns and AR-15 can be sold without background checks and record keeping is only recommend, Virginia law. That's why there's non dealer gun shows and Armslist Virginia firearms classified.

You are most certainly wrong. I even had to do a background check to purchase a shotgun a few years ago. Stop spreading bullshit.

If he was talking about private sales, and if the seller and buyer are both Virginia residents, he is right. If I had an AR-15 I wanted to sell, I could sell it to a Virginia resident in the parking lot of the gun show and there would be no background check. But these days there is no way I would do that, I would pay my FFL guy to do a background check as a condition of sale.

That is what the "gun show loophole" is, but pro-gun-control folks only say "background checks at gun shows". They should be saying "background checks for any private owner sales that may happen in the vicinity of a gun show".

Virginia state police recommend this:

----------------------------
What are the laws concerning the private sale of a handgun?

To privately sell a firearm, it is recommended that you safeguard information pertaining to the transaction such as the date the firearm was sold, the complete name and address of the buyer, and the make, model, and serial number of the firearm. The seller and buyer of a handgun must be a resident of the state in which the transfer occurs. Should the firearm ever be located at a crime scene, trace of the firearm will determine the licensed dealer who last sold the firearm and will identify the last buyer of the firearm. To have your name removed from this process, you may consider placing your firearm on consignment with a licensed dealer. This will also ensure that the firearm is transferred only to a lawfully eligible individual.
----------------------------

I have no problem with a new law requiring an FFL run a check for a private sale even though it is inconvenient, but only for non-family transactions (inheritance, uncle sells to niece, etc). The problem with this is 1) it wouldn't have prevented any of the newsworthy crimes, 2) would be impossible to enforce.

Was your 4-10 shotgun a private sale?

I posted some on another thread about him. He's out of his gourd in grief, no father should have to go thru what he's still facing.

But he's got his blame way wrong. If it was me up there every 5th word would be beep and the other four would be

"That Son Of A ....."

Course he's a liberal so he cant blame the killer.

He was on CNN earlier today sobbing that he hadn't yet received a phone call from either of Virginia's senators. What the fuck? What a faggot.

Nice user name. I see what you did there. You know that he isn't a nut job... merely an actor.
