Meade Skelton Hits Big Time
Posted by: Jester ()
Date: June 01, 2009 12:16AM

Meade is starting to make the big bucks at farmers markets, $20 in tips and some brownies.

"Gordonsville looked nice as I drove through it, making my way up Rt 15 towards Orange. They didn't have electricity , so it was just me and my portable Casio keyboard, and I also played a few little ditties on my ukulele. I made 20$ in tips, and they gave me some turnips and brownies!" - Meade Skelton

That's a heck of a lot better than the lame hiphop wannabees on here... in their case they would get zero money, and the only tips they'd get are recommendations on where to stick their free turnips and brownies.

They didn't have electricity ,

Who needs electricity when you have MEADE SKELTON MISTER EXCITEMENT entertaining the room?

The tips probably came from the 99% of attendees who couldn't hear him. They probably thought he was from Melwood and felt sorry for him.

From his blog entry from last week:

Target
I could spend my whole life at this store! Its always very clean and well organized. You can pick up clothes from Target without feeling trendy as you do at Walmart, or frumpy like you can if you shop at Kmart. They have a nice selection of men's underwear. I do wish they'd avoid putting the half naked man on the cover, though. It really spoils my appetite ! But usually, there are a lot of women at Target. Soccer moms love this place. I see them with little Jr. or little Suzy, picking out curtains or supper for their families. One lady told her son that he would get a big surprise from daddy when they got home if he didn't "shut the hell up". I wonder what that could be.... Anyways, I think Target is a great place to pass away the time. They have gotten so high cotton now with what their Starbucks coffee and hot pizza inside!

Nothing says "in vogue" more than clothing from a Walmart. I mean, when I think of trendy, I don't think of places like Versace or Jos. A. Bank at the Tysons Galleria. When I hear the word "style", I think of the Walmart over at Fair Lakes.

At first I thought this guy was a long running joke, but it turns out there is a real and pathetic person behind that blog.

My grandmother Catherine (A native Richmonder) talking to "Miss Janey"- a friend and lady who worked for her family for years. The conversation was recorded in 1998. Today's Richmonders sound more like California dudes and dudettes. This way of talkin' is Gone With The Wind

You missed the time when Meade got a job standing along the road waving at cars, while dressed up like the statue of liberty. One time a car drove by and a little girl yelled out the window to call him a loser.

He's so pathetic it's actually discomforting. I sorta wish he still posted here though.

I don't believe I see his "Fake Awards Ceremony" video on YouTube anymore. Or his triumphant performance to the empty lobby of the Best Western in Leesburg. What do you suppose happened?

I'm not 100% but I think he has a lot of stuff on metacafe that doesn't show up on youtube.

The fake awards show is on metacafe...but I found this gem ever more entertaining. Its an old tape of him when he was 12.

Pay attention at 0:51, very disturbing.

First, who would have thought that nearly 20 years later Meade would look and act exactly the same way? Second, someone who knows how to work with animated GIFs needs to pull that bit at :51 and put it on Photobucket as "I'm so gay."

I feel guilty goofing on him anymore, because I think he actually has some real mental issues. There is probably some psychological condition the doctors dreamed up for people like Meade that want attention so badly, they risk bodily harm.

Either that, or he's just extremely flamboyant.

Did you say creepy? How about a montage of his teenage years with a recording he made in '94? It's called "I'm sueing for malpractice"!

Did you read the comments?

I'm willing to bet that Meade could take you in a fight. But if he ever finds out who you are he'll probably take you to his modified basement instead.

Jocelyn,

Meade would have cardiac arrest or liver failure before he could lift a fist. Though, I do admit I have never fought a walrus before.

As far as taking me to his "modified basement," it sounds like something out of Pulp Fiction. I do not want to end up like the Gimp. Thanks for the warning. :)

Classic.

Its a sad state of affairs when most of his blog revolves around eating and mentioning what stores he visits. Its as if Consumption is his main focus in life. He needs to visit target and thrift stores and mall outlets to and take note of what he eats and what deserts he consumes to fill an empty feeling in his own life a craving that there is something missing within himself and he needs to consume in order to fill that worthless feeling in uuh in iii uuuuh wait whaaat was I uuuuh Hmmm ICE cream truck I hear....Cough Cough. pass the Wii dude.

I'm going to King's Dominion this Thursday, which is in Meade's backyard. I'd kill to see Meade performing at the Effiel Tower stage. Shoot, even having him playing in the parking lot would make my day.
