I'm young but have common sense. Sharon you need to motivate misery to get a job, any job as long as it is honest work. Encourage him to set a schedule to seek work and abide by it, this staying up till 4:00am on the computer is not healthy. The father has to get involved, seems to me that he doesn't. I'm only 19 but have been working summers since I was 14, picking fruit on a farm, in nurseries with flowers, cutting grass. I think you might have spoiled him and babied him.

Don't pull the "autism," or "Asperger's," card. I know and heard of plenty with the same conditions who live full lives as adults with decent jobs and contribute positively to society. I was satisfied just having a job and I had some pretty shitty ones too.
