Girl was raised as a pet...

Russian police were called to an apartment where a 5 year old girl was raised with dogs.
Even though she lived with her parents and grandparents, she knows no language other than barking like a dog. She also doesn't know how to use silverware or eat at a table...

I read a similar story last year. It was about a little girl in Florida who was essentially raised like an animal. When the police found her, she was basically a "feral human being". She'll probably never be normal after the way she had been treated for the first 7 years of her life. It's really a heartbreaking story, and it sorta bothered me after reading it.

This sounds like Spunky's origin story.

She will make for great study from pyschologists and anthropologists. Especially in how she deals with the "normal" world and develops through life (i.e. nature/nurture debate).

I'm not sure how much of a debate there is anymore about nature/nuture. If you aren't nurtured, you typically grow up to be a psycho.
