Because he is old.

Do you realize how long it's been since he made his splash in DC?

I remember many years back he said he had a 32 or 34 ft boat. And he was a part time Falls Church Deputy Sheriff.

The last he was good was on 94.7(?), maybe 15 years ago.

I think he had a weekend or some non-peak hour show on DC 101 or similar sometime in the last decade. It was weak. He was either handcuffed or was just a shell of his former hilarious self.

Shoulda got into satellite after his classic rock morning show gig.

He flamed out before then. He was still on and popular but he was starting to run on fumes. He'd get to the end of one of his long-ass stories and the payoff just wasn't there. Then he started doing stupid shit to try to make up for it. He was an entertaining guy and had a good run in his time but you can only pull off that act for so long.

The Greaseman's heyday was on DC101 in the 80s and early 90s. At his peak in the early 90s he had a studio audience on Fridays and it was catered by BJ Pumpernickles Deli. He then went to New York City and did a national show in the evening. He had a female cohost and they talked about relationships. It was lame and after like two years he was back in DC on the Arrow. He was again doing the old shtick but it was getting tired by then. He then flamed out with his racial "jokes." After about 4 years in exile he came back to DC and had a show on a low powered station where he had to pay for air time. That led to a short lived Saturday morning show on DC101. After less than a year he quit and went back to Jacksonville, Florida.
