We have an immigration system in place, when enforced, that prevents people like this from coming into the country, along with Vince's friends who work hard - for cheap - and then compensate by taking the difference in tax-funded benefits and services.

Illegal aliens are not exploited. They know exactly how to work the system to their advantage.

The only thing 'broken' with our immigration system is the enforcement department.

There is many things broken with our immigration system. There is a need for 90% of the undocumented workers here...the policy just doesnt reflect that need.

well its a fact that our immigration system is broken, or we would not have millions of illegals here. The system is in place but it is not being enforced well, if at all. And I know that some illegal immigrants are criminals and murderers, but you can not throw out a blanket statement saying that because he was an illegal in this country he commited child rape, thats just rediculous. Please dont think im a bleeding heart liberal or something, because if you look at my previous posts, im am entirely for securing the borders and taking care of this problem that we let happen.

If the illegal wasn't in the country, the rape would not have occurred.

You can however say that ALL are of questionable character because they did not go through the proper background and health checks required of legal immigrants.

They created the air of suspicion by sneaking into the country, when they could have entered legally. One has to question what they are hiding!

Enforcement of the immigration system is the part that is broken. Congress intentionally makes it easier to allow illegals to live and work in the US by removing the two time and cost effective tools that would deter employers from hiring illegals - E-Verify and No-Match Letter.

Without these two tools, there are no employers who can be charged with "knowingly" hiring illegal aliens, which is the basis for Obama's "employment enforcement," which equates to No Enforcement.

Because this is such a contentious issue, there will be no mass amnesty. It will be especially difficult to even pass a legalization measure. O and Congress will however be able to continue to provide cheap illegal labor for businesses that contributed so generously to their campaigns. And in the end, that's what it's all about.

If you doubt this, follow the money. As the labor intensive stimulus funded contracts are awarded, watch to see who is hired. Then, trace back the contractor to campaign contributions - many of whom are first time contributors.

There has nothing to do with our immigration system. Contractors like things just as they are because they don't want legal workers. With cheap illegal labor, they can bid a contract based on legal wages and pocket the rest. They don't have to incur the cost of benefits because the tax payers are picking up the tab. And illegal aliens are easily manipulated. If a contractor wants to cut corners, even the most experienced worker is not going to turn him in - they will do whatever they are told and not make waves.

Because businesses own politicians, don't expect things to change anytime soon.

Sexual Assault in the Fairfax Area

Fair Oaks Police District - Police were called to an apartment in the 9500 block of Blake Lane around 6:40 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, for an assault. Officers determined a 10-year-old girl was playing outside with friends. She left the group of children and walked to her apartment. In the stairwell, she encountered a man sitting on the stairs. The man grabbed her from behind and touched her inappropriately. The victim’s friend saw the assault and ran to help her. The suspect fled down the stairs and was last seen running away from the building. The victim ran to her apartment and notified an adult. She did not require medical attention.

The suspect was described as Hispanic, 30 to 40 years old. He was 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with long, black hair in a ponytail. He had a goatee and several gold teeth. He was wearing dark-colored pants and an orange shirt.

I would never insult the non-human inhabitants of our earth by placing them in the same category as an illegal alien.

Vince, you illiterate moron, why should anyone take seriously what you have to say? Not only are you an illiterate but you don't even understand proper verb tense!

The existing immigration system works just fine - the process is exactly as it should be - application is submitted to immigrate - US government determines need based on skills, education, health and criminal background, and then approves accordingly.

Billions of people from all over the world would give their eye teeth to live and work in the US - the US has only so much square footage to accommodate all these people, therefore a selection process is necessary.

The breakdown is lack of enforcement with the people who bypass the process by sneaking into the country so they can pop out little jackpot babies and demand MORE rights than legal immigrants.
