Anyone Going to Rolling Thunder Events???

I am thinking of wathcing from the Memorial Bridge on Sunday. Never bother to go in the past so I'm not sure how much a of mob scene it would be there. Any advice from people who have gone in the past?

Also- where are all the vets going to hang out this weekend? I am thinking of hitting up the Legion in Virginia Square. Thoughts?

I've always heard that, unless you're a bike enthusiast who enjoys large, packed crowds, it's not worth going to.

I went last year. We walked from Rosslyn, across Key Bridge, then up to the Capitol. There are tons of people around, but it's not that bad. Nowhere nearly as crowded as 4th of July. Just alot of people out and about. I guess it was sorta interesting.

One thing: take metro. A few years ago I had to drive into DC that day, and got stuck in a huge traffic jam trying to get back to Roosevelt Bridge.
