Herndon Festival This Weekend - Fireworks Saturday Night

For the past six or seven years, the Thursday part of the festival had been cancelled due to weather-rain thunder, etc. This afternoon and evening scattered thunderstorms are predicted. Why hasn't the committee just stopped scheduling things on Thursday with this track record?

I went last night. It was a blast. Lots of Herndon cops however. Everytime I turned around there was another Herndon cop on segway going by me. The parking isn't that bad. I parked at Herndon High school and shuttles buses were right on time every time minutes. No problem getting seating on the bus. Took about 20 minutes total to park and get to the fair.
Fireworks were surprisingly good, long show but a little low in the sky. They must shoot the fireworks off from the Herndon Golf Course or rec center.

Man the festival was loaded with hot chicks tonight. I guess because they had three live stages of bands and lots of carny games.
