i dont know if this is exactly what would happen but it seems the worst way to die would be the one way that nobody has died: reentering the earth's atmosphere outside of a vessel. i think your body would be ripped apart chunk by chunk and there would also be pressurization issues which would hurt your ears and eyes (think bleeding). basically, it would be the ultimate skydive.

to my knowledge, people in shuttles that tear apart and then free fall are killed by being hit in the head by debris before being exposed to the atmosphere.

There was a Tom Clancy novel where the main character tortured a bad guy using a pressurized chamber. By evacuating the chamber rapidly, it wouldo induce a serious episode of "the bends" in the victim. He kept doing it over and over until the guy died. That's gotta be an awful way to die. you can if you do it slowly. Skin part of the leg, dump on some salt etc. I'm surprised someone like you hadn't thought of that. Too much of an area and the person will go into shock and then die. I should have clarified.

gah... the nerves inside your skin is how you feel pain. if you really want to inflict pain, you remove the outer layers of skin so that you can get to raw nerves. this is why second degree burns hurt and third degree burns do not.

I've always been fascinated by medieval torture devices. This is the worst, or (most intriguing) by far.

You are first tied down with all four limbs stretched out. Then, someone takes a hammer and breaks your arms and legs several times over and over.

By this time, your limbs are pretty much like jello. You are placed on a wheel and your limbs are intertwined with the rungs.

The wheel is then placed on a tall pole where you die from exposure. Often times, crows would pick at your body while you died.
